New York, economic and financial capital of the Western Hemisphere. Home of the Stock Exchange, center of the United States' stockbrokers, bankers, and hopeful innocents who think the stock market is the best bet on winning big yet their hope blinds them of the veil which hides the market's evil.
Many win and many lose, in the end, New York and Las Vegas have something in common; thousands cry themselves to sleep from seeing their savings account get deleted for being empty.
Yet the greatest difference between the two metropolitan behemoths is that while Las Vegas is the Gambling Capital of the West, New York is home to the world's leading technology and science company: Stark Industries.
Ever since its CEO and current head: Tony Stark, revealed himself as the Iron Man, the world's 'first' Superhero; News Outlets all over the world were focused on the billionaire-playboy.
It's here in New York where the tallest building in the city, and maybe the world, was located. Stark Industries Tower, over the years New Yorkers have spotted the billionaire in his Iron Man suit.
Stark Tower is famous for many things but it's most known for being the nexus from where a device that created a portal above the tower from which an alien force spewed out and destroyed parts of New York in the now infamous 'Battle of New York'.
The Battle saw the superhero team known as the 'Avengers' fight against the aliens known as the 'Chitauri' who's army nearly overwhelmed the team. Consisting of Tony Stark (Iron Man), Steve Rogers (Captain America), Bruce Banner (Hulk), Thor Odinsson (Thor), Clint Barton (Hawkeye), and Natasha Romanov (Blackwidow).
Through the assistance of both S.H.I.E.L.D and the combined US Military; the Avengers sealed the portal the Chitauri used as a gateway onto New York and apprehended the mastermind of the invasion: the brother of Thor and the 'god' of mischief, Loki.
These events would ultimately end the name of Stark Tower and in its place would be the Avengers Tower. Now, it isn't just the Iron Man who flies to the tower, entire jets planes known as Quinjets have been seen landing upon the landing pad of the Tower.
Over the next three years, the Avengers would come across a threat that nearly annihilated the human race; an artificial threat, one known as Ultron.
Through both knowledge of the human race and a personality made by both Stark and Banner, Ultron decided that the solution to war was to annihilate war and to annihilate war was to annihilate its source: humans.
The series of events culminated in the destruction of the town of Sokovia in Italy but the safe departure of the citizens of the city. The events saw the addition of two members into the Avengers yet the loss of another.
Vision, a personality of Ultron who had a far better moral view, and Wanda Maximoff, one of the two Maximoff twins who were experimented by Hydra.
Today, on December 5th, 2015, the Avengers met to convene upon matters concerning a new discovery that Tony and his new AI assistant F.R.I.D.A.Y had recently uncovered a few hours prior.
In a secluded room, a long rectangular table consisted of five chairs; each of the chairs consisted one of the original Avengers except Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, the latter was in front of his fellow Avengers while the former was MIA ever since the events in Sokovia.
Tony stood in front of a screen which showcased a number of pictures that flew over the heads of his fellow Avengers.
"So why did you call us, Tony? What are those blips on the board?"
Steve had asked, his eyes on Tony as the others followed suit.
"First off, those aren't just 'blips'. Those are forming black holes located over a thousand light years away."
