White Room 006

Chapter 5

The dusty old science textbook reeked. as soon as I opened it, I began to cough violently. not only did it smell of dust, it also had this strong thick odor I couldnt explain. the book was very thick. it pained me to carry it and it was about 7 inches thick. i flipped through the pages and found a pink sticky note on it. the sticky note was covered in pen scribbles, and it looked like someone scribled over writing. I spent around 5 minutes trying to read the note but gave up eventually. I tucked it back into the book.
I flipped through the pages again. "shit!" i muttered under my breath. Papercut. the crimson blood pooled at my fingertip and dripped onto the paper. I shut the book and ran to the old bathroom, the rust sink handle wiggled as i pressed down on it. the water streamed onto my throbbing finger. the cut stung under the cold water. quickly unwrapping the rough bandage, i stuck it unto my finger and threw the wrapper in the blue tiled trash bin. I walked back into my room and realized it was already 9:30, and I was trying to go to sleep early. I rested under my floral quilt with the book on my chiseled nightstand.
My eyes bolted open and my eyes twitched open. it was still dark out. I checked my clock. 2:23 AM. my ears started to ring and my head started to throb, like someone was pressing into my temples. an overwhelming smell rushed through my nose, it was the same smell as the book, but stronger. my stomach immediately started to growl and twist. the stomach paun was overwhelming my whole body and i bolted to vomit. I crouched over the toilet in the dark and tried to make out my face in the mirror but it seemed to be blurred and distorted. I reached for the counter as my head began to feel like someone was poking needles into it. My vision went black and all I could hear was the overwhelming ringing in my ears.
