His eyes ran over the screens, over and over and over, begging for any more information that he might've missed. Circles were clear under his eyes and he was beginning to get frustrated as there were no records in the entire Diamond Archive on the mysterious gem that knocked his Lady unconscious.
He let out a loud groan in frustration and smacked his head against the table. He looked and saw that his coffee mug was empty and got up, taking it with him.
As he walked through the halls, he grumbled to himself that she probably would've found him in two hours if it was him in this situation than he in two days.
He was so tired that he ended up running into someone who was moving at top speed and fell back, landing on his back. The mug flew from his hand and was luckily caught by the familiar hand of Oliver.
"Oh, Thanks. What're you doing up so late?" He asked, and got up. Oliver looked away for a second before his ears twitched slightly in worry.
"Garnet wanted me to get you. She said she found something. Also I'm the only one up because my sleep schedule is pretty messy right now." He handed him his mug, and Steven could tell he wanted to say more, but was holding back for some reason.
When they made it to the throne room, Steven realized that it was an early sunrise, considering that Homeworld now had an artificial sun.
"Garnet?" He asked, cautiously approaching her as she turned to face him, her face solemn with guilt.
"No." He whispered, disbelief in his eyes as his hands let out sparks of pink lightning. "No No Garnet please tell me she isn't-"
"She's alive. And I've found their location. Their intentions are still unclear, but any rash decisions will likely jeopardize her chances of survival."
"Four fleets of ships are on standby. Tell them that I'm going to take My High Guard's group, Alright?" He said, and as he ran off, Oliver was about to follow him before he was stopped by Garnet.
"Oliver. I would advise you to go with him. While Steven is known for his more peaceful nature, he can be quite aggressive when his loved ones are threatened, especially Her. Please make sure he doesn't do anything reckless."
"Okay. Will they be alright?" The nod was a slight relief as he went to catch up with Steven.
Please be alright. The seer thought before going to join the rest of the gems.

She was most definitely not alright. When she awoke, her head throbbing and body sore, she immediately scanned her surroundings.
She didn't have much time as her attention was diverted to her bonds, consisting of her wrists, upper body, and ankles bound to the chair she was in with tight ropes.
Connie began struggling, tugging rather hard at her wrists, which wasn't helping, and despite her training, they weren't going to give anytime soon.
She tried to remember how she got here, and her thoughts drifted to earlier, as she could vividly remember the slight taste of his vanilla chapstick on her lips.
Now, she was worried because she knew that Steven must be far more worried than she was. She'd been here for what felt like hours, and knew that he was planning a rescue mission as she sat here.
She tugged again at her wrists, and had barely begun to struggle again as a door opened at the far side of the room.
Its hinges creaked, and out of the shadows appeared a semi familiar figure. After getting a good look at them, she narrowed her eyes.
