Hercules' POV:
"What a day, huh?" I asked Meg as we entered the garden, getting a soft smile and hum in return. "And then that play, with the Oedipus thing? I thought I had problems." I said as I chuckle softly, knowing that if Brandi was here, she would be laughing out loud. I couldn't help but notice the look on her face as Meg talked with me... she looked... upset. I wanted to go to her to comfort her but I didn't want to be rude to Meg, so I went with her. As Meg and I walked around, I couldn't help but wish it was Brandi with me instead. I look up as I see two birds, whistling innocently, as I thought that they seemed familiar somehow.

I look at Meg as she lightly punches my arm, saying to me, "So... didn't think playing hooky would be this fun, huh?" I couldn't help but chuckle, nodding as I say, "Yeah. Thanks, Meg." Not hearing what she says after that, I catch her as she falls into me. "Oops-- careful." I said as I was a bit uncomfortable with her position, which she seems to try fo use to her advantage for some reason. (A/N: She wants to find out your weakness, Herc! Which, sadly, is me!) "Sorry. Weak ankles." Meg said with a slight sarcastic smile. I look at her as I carry her over to a bench, setting her down before I sit beside her. "Oh yeah? Well, maybe you'd better sit down." I said as I do so, brushing my hair back as I sigh, wondering what Brandi was doing.

"So... uh... do you have any problems with things like this?" Meg asked me as she stretches her leg out and holds her foot right in front of my face, causing me to stare dumbfoundedly at her bare leg. "Uh..." I say, unsure of what she means, before she has me look at her with her foot. "Weak ankles, I mean." She said as she moves a bit closer to me, causing me to move away slightly as I clear my throat. "Oh. Uh, no not really. Not exactly, anyway." I said as I think about Brandi.

Meg moves closer to me as she asks, "No weaknesses whatsoever? No trick knee? Ruptured... disks?" I lean back as she was almost leaning against me as I blush slightly, clearing my throat. "No, I'm... I'm afraid I'm uh... fit as a fiddle." I said as I get up and move over to a fountain, breathing out softly. I pick up a pebble, rubbing the smooth surface as I heard Meg say, "Wonderboy, you are perfect." As I chuckle softly with a, "Thanks, I guess." I throw the pebble, causing it to skip in the water before it breaks the arms off the statue in the middle of it.

"Whoops!" I said, cringing my face a bit as I rub the back of my head. Meg walks over and sets her elbow on my shoulder, looking at the statue. "It looks better that way. No, it... really does." She said as we look at it, before we look up to see a shooting star going across the sky, as I couldn't help but remember when Brandi and I would sometimes stay up to count how many shooting stars we saw. "You know, when I was a kid, I... I would have given anything to be just like everybody else." I said as I look at Meg. She rolls her eyes as she crosses her arms, moving away from me. "You wanted to be petty and dishonest?" She asked me which shocked me a bit. "Everybody's not like that..." I said as I look at her, hearing her reply sadly. "Yes they are..."

I walk over to her as I brush my hair back. "You're not like that. Neither is... Brandi." I said as I look away, not noticing that she was looking at me, perking up slightly as I had unknowingly given her the information she needs. "So, about Wondergirl, I mean Brandi. What makes you think of her in that way?" She asked me as I sigh softly, looking at the sky as I give a slight smile. "All I know is... she's the most amazing and beautiful person I've ever met, even if she doesn't think she is." I said as I chuckle softly. Meg takes a step back into one of the statues and exclaimed in surprise as I look at her sadly. "Meg, I'm sorry but I don't feel the same way for you as you feel for me. My heart belongs to Brandi... It's just that when I'm with her, I don't feel so... alone." I said softly.

Meg looks at me sadly as she shakes her head, saying softly, "I understand. I used to know what it was like to be in love. But sometimes it's better to be alone." I watch her as she goes to look in the water, seeming to hold herself as she looked sad. "What do you mean?" I asked her with slight worry as I hear her reply, "Nobody can hurt you." I gently touch her hand as I look at her. "Meg? You know Brandi and I would never, ever hurt you." I said as she looks back at me. "And I don't want to hurt either of you..." She said as I hug her, getting up as I ran to go find Brandi, finally ready after all these years... I am in love with my best friend. "I gotta find her..." I said as I ran, looking around as I didn't realize that Meg was looking at me sadly, nor did I hear her say, "I'm sorry, Wonderboy...."
