Life had come full circle for Niel but he was about to turn a corner: the school corner, but that was just the literal transition in his life. As you guessed, a metaphorically turn was coming up in his life.

Three feet away.

He thought about the previous day he spent with Sakshi. He had wanted her since the day he wiped her tears; and he got her finally. He was happy, really happy. 7 months ago he had confessed his feeling and she had not even considered them. And now after seeing him with another girl, she succumbed to them. Niel felt pretty smart about himself now.

Two feet away.

He did feel sad about using Tanisha the way he did. 'Necessary sacrifices,' he consoled himself. All these things seemed ordinary to him today; he had finally got his prize. His walk was that of accomplishment but his dreams were that of fantasy. They were as delicate as glass and he lived in such a world. The truth about this matter is that there is fine line between dreams and reality. The one who conquers this line, conquers this life.

One feet away.

He could feel the adrenaline surging through his body. Ignoring all thoughts of Tanisha which were being suppressed by those of Sakshi. He had never really felt the same after running into Sakshi by the staircase. Underneath that helpless and vulnerable girl he said seen the truth. That day she had opened up to him more than anyone and that's what made Niel so special.

He turned the school corner; towards his impending doom.

The sight would have shattered anyone but it affected Niel the most. A hammer had fallen on his glass of dreams and the reason was only one person, Vivek.

Vivek was leaning on Sakshi when she saw Niel's horrified face. She pushed the boy away from her body and urged him to leave. The faithless jock obliged but not before glaring with anger at the lover boy. Sakshi turned towards Niel who was clearly still in a state of shock.

'What is happening?' he asked.

'Niel, please don't get sentimental,' she commanded, 'This was never meant to happen.' She waved her finger indicating their relationship.

'But what about that...'

'Forget about it.' She cut him short, 'It was a mistake and I realise that now.'

All the memories of the kiss flash backed in his mind. The wet passion overwhelmed his senses even with this single memory. It was not about raw human lust than had been satisfied by that display of love but that day Niel had finally accepted his true feelings for this girl who had just betrayed him. And her mundane reason was that – 'It was never meant to happen'.

'How can you be so sure?' He tried to bring her back.

'I know,' she said, 'I just know.'

'Then tell me fast,' he yelled, 'I don't believe this for a single moment.'

She was startled at first at his sudden outburst but calming herself she approached him. She cupped his face into her hands and stared into his eyes with a care that he knew she possessed for him.

'I can't tell you,' she replied with a dreamy sweetness in her voice. Trying her best to calm her agitated lover. Her voice usually felt like those of Circe to him. Controlling his every action and possessing his mind always, but today the charm had broken. He had fallen out of his bubble dream and crash landed into reality.

He pushed her away as hard as he could. Never regretting of making her fall on the ground.

'That hurt,' she said in pain, 'And that was rude of you.'
