Fruit of the Poisoned Tree

Bella woke up the next morning hungry so she walked past the living room into the kitchen. Klaus watched as she walked by and so did Elijah, the older brother put his mother's grimoire and followed the mother of his children into the kitchen as Klaus's bitter gaze followed his brother into the kitchen.

"Good morning," Elijah greets while leaning on the door frame of the kitchen with a smile

"Hey there," Bella replies with a smile while searching the fridge for food. Rebekah then comes through the back door with yellow gloves on "I know me and Heyley are the only ones that eat food around here but would it kill any of you to add milk to the grocery list," Bella complains just as Hayley enters the kitchen as well.

"Speaking of, add bleach," Rebekah says walking past Hayley into the livingroom

Elijah searches through the cabinets for a bowl while Hayley looks for the tea kettle "You know, I do hope my siblings were hospitable towards you both in my absence," the original tells the girls as he walks towards Bella with two bowls and a bag of cereal in one

"In your absence as you like to call it, which is a way-too-polite way of saying that your brother put a dagger in your heart, I have been attacked by French Quarter vampires, we've had to live in a house with a secret dungeon full of coffins, and I was nearly murdered by witches who are convinced that my baby is lucifer," Hayley tells Elijah dramatically while she fills up the tea kettle and puts it on the stove.

"Me on the other hand have played it safe by not trusting the witches," Bella targets Hayley who lets out a joking scoff I look down at the counter and see that there was milk "Oh, there's the milk," Bella says with sarcasm and a small laugh 

"Your siblings have been fine, your siblings are weirdly protective," Hayley claims as Elijah pours milk into both of the bowls before handing them to the girls, "I think we have you to blame for that," Hayley finishes before dismissing the bowl in front of her and tending to the whistling kettle

"I'm just glad you are both in one piece," Elijah tells the girls before with gives Bella a soft smile "So back to the murderous witches, I have some concerns," Elijah claims still facing Bella 

"There evil," Hayley tells the older man while pouring her tea into a mug

"It also doesn't help that our lives are magically linked to Sophie Deveraux, which is not comforting at all," Bella tells the man in front of her, her smiling face now replaced with a serious one

Elijah frowns at the girl in front of him who shows fear of not being in control of her life "Yes. I think it's time we get you both unlinked," Elijah calmly replies still looking down at the girl in front of him

"I'm all for it. as soon as they're unlinked, we can all leave this crap town. Who do we have to kill?" Rebekah calmly asks while dragging a dead body outside making Bella look at the corpse in disgust
