It seems like the gods decided, something else.
As a little punishment for wanting to rebel,
with them.
Wilbur wakes up, his hands in cold snow. He groans, being used to waking up in a chair or a bed.
Wait a minute. Snow?
Wilbur sits up almost immediately, looking around.
He's in a forest.
Endless and endless rows of trees, and snow on the ground.
The atmosphere seems still and quiet, having the only noise be from the cold wind and Wilbur's shuffling.
He gets up, dusting the snow off of him.
He was himself. His wings were back, his clothing was the same from chapter 1 that faithful night, everything. So he was confused on why, why was everything normal. Was he resurrected? Has the gods finally grew bored of his complaining?
He starts walking, trying to find an exit to this forest, which felt endless. If it wasn't for his trenchcoat or wings, he would've been freezing. He didn't felt watch, so it was eerily peaceful.
Or so he thought.
A nice little god was watching him, following him.
Suto.
Suto, who watched him carefully, ready to simply write a new if anything.
Just like with Passerine.
A simple, unpleased facial expression was on her, with her mind working. Planning. Planning on how to continue, this story.
Wilbur saw a wooden bridge, as mixed emotions endure.
He was happy and relieved to see that there's an end to this forest. But couldn't help but to feel a pit in his stomach., seeing as he wasn't anywhere he would remember as "home".
But he didn't care.
He heads closer to the bridge, in hopes to find someone for help.
He steps out, onto the snow covered pavement. He smiles, looking at the bridge. He sees what could be a shed. He walks up to it, with caution of course.
“Hey buddy” a voice said. Wilbur freezes, turning around slowly.
Only to see a short skeleton, with a blue jacket, black shorts, a white shirt and pink slippers?
Wilbur seemed confused.
Sure, back in Lmanburg it wasn't strange to see a ghost even, but this was new.
