- Do to being sick for a majority of his life, he's happy to have you show him the ropes around the world of Pokémon

- Would appreciate it if you carried him, but he won't ask you for it directly

- "Do you really believe I can make it as a Pokémon trainer Y/N?" "Of course you can, and with all the reading you've done, I'm sure there's something you can even teach me!"

- Asks to battle with you a lot, but he never seems to win

- "You're always one step ahead of me Y/N. I need to get stronger!" "That's the fighting spirit! Next time we battle I want to see just how much stronger you've become!" "Don't go easy on me Y/N." "Pfft as if, you're more than capable of beating me with a little practice."

- He swears that he'll beat you one day, along with some other kid he talks about fondly

- You check up on him every town he visits to make sure he isn't overworking his body

- He is sick after all, and Wanda did ask you to look after him

- "I'm ok! You don't have...to worry..." "Wally, you're about to pass out, come on bud, you've done enough for today." "But!-" "No buts, take a break."

- He listens to the advice you give him, and usually puts it to good use

- He doesn't see you as some kind of babysitter since you're technically a friendly rival to him

- What he doesn't like is being cut off just because of his condition, he likes that you care so much, but he's been waiting so long to catch Pokémon

- Carry him, you are legally obligated to when he is out of breath

- You're going to have to follow him all around Hoenn, hope you don't mind walking a lot if you don't have a Fly TM.

- Once he reaches Victory Road and has recovered from his illness he tells you to wait for him at home

- He'll come back for a rematch when he's ready
