On the other side of the pond

Part 5

When I arrived I parked my bike at the same exact spot like I always do and I rang the doorbell. I checked my watch and it was 1:03 PM. I was a little late. The door opened and Silvana smiled. You're late, what were you up to? She asks with a mischievous smile. It's only three minutes! I giggle and I get inside. Okay so you wont believe what happened yesterday! I exclaimed. Omg what happened? Silvana looks at me with a worried face. Well I- Oh hello Amy! Silvana's mom walks into the kitchen. Hello miss Greenwood. I say as I feel my cheeks turn red, I've always been awkward with parents. We head upstairs with some snacks and a drink. Silvana closed the door and mysteriously turned around. So what were you going to tell me?! My face lights up as I think about last night, well before... you know? I went out for a walk and stopped at that pond behind my house. Can you guess who's there?! I say. Uhhm I don't know? Silvana makes a confused face and sits down. It was Blueberry! I exclaim and I start slightly jumping. Oh my god! No fucking way! Silvana screams as she fly's off of her bed. Did you talk to her? She asks. I did! And she likes my music taste! I say as I drop myself on the bed. Silvana drops next to me and we start randomly screaming. Everything okay over here? I heard screaming. Silvana's mom had come into her room. We start laughing. Yup everything is okay mom. Silvana says and her mom leaves.

After we had talked for a while and watched a movie I decided it was time to head back home. I gave Silvana a big hug and I got on my bike. Bye! And don't die! She said and I waved. Bye! I drove back home and passed the pond, I stopped for a second to see if Ivy was there. I parked my bike against a tree and walked to the bench we sat on last night. No one was there sadly. I sat down on the bench and stared at the water. I felt really tired all of a sudden and struggled to keep my eyes open. I closed them for one second and accidentally fell asleep.

1 Hour later...

I felt someone patting my shoulder and I startled awake. I'm sorry, didn't mean to scare you. I heard a familiar voice say. I looked around and saw Ivy standing behind me with a faint smile on her face. Oh hey. I said and I felt my cheeks heating up. I checked my phone and saw that I had 3 missed calls from my mom. I felt panic rising in my stomach and my whole face dropped. Hey what's wrong? Ivy said and she sat down beside me. uhm my parents are kinda mad at me and now they probably think I ignored their calls and they're going to murder me. I rambled. Ivy put her hand on my shoulder and my heart started racing. Relax, I don't think your parents will murder you. But I do think you're in deep shit. She said. Thanks, for reminding me that. I said and a little smile appeared on my face. Ivy looked at her hand and awkwardly removed it from my shoulder. You should probably go home now tough. She said. I nodded and got up. Bye! I waved and she waved back with a smile. I turned around and walked to my bike.
