Back in the bathroom of his apartment, Yoon Gi stripped off his long sleeved shirt and his eye was caught by the tattoo on his forearm—two whole paw prints were filled in. Somehow he had managed to make a lot of progress today. He was suddenly filled with joy and optimism. As much as he had thought he wouldn't mind staying a cat, he felt drawn to Jimin and wanted to stay with her and get to know her more.
He continued washing up and redressed before taking his ruined clothes to the trash can. He really wasn't bothered about the fact they were unsalvageable; he accepted the fact that it had been an accident and he was partly at fault for following Jimin so closely.
He smiled to himself as he prepared a meal, making sure to include enough for Ji Min when he returned. The sun was starting to set as he sat down to eat.
His phone made an obnoxious noise, startling him, and he almost swatted it off the table before he saw the notification of a message.
Jimin:
I am really so sorry about spilling the bleach water on you. Are your clothes really ruined?Yoon Gi:
It is okay. Really.Jimin:
I feel so bad!Jimin:
Please! How can I make it up to you?Yoon Gi:
You do not have to.Jimin:
I won't let this go 😝Yoon Gi chuckled at the message. How would he convince her that it didn't matter? It was just clothes.
Yoon Gi:
Are you still at the shop? When do you close?Jimin:
Closed a while ago.Jimin:
I'm almost home.Jimin:
Picking up dinner.Yoon Gi:
I could have walked with youJimin:
So noble! I'm walking up to the gate now.You have no idea how noble, Yoon Gi snickered to himself. He knew from the early memory Ji Min had unlocked that he had been the son of a nobleman.
Yoon Gi:
What is for dinner?Jimin:
(...)Yoon Gi watched the dots dancing on the screen for a minute before getting tired of waiting and putting his phone down. What on earth was she writing that was taking so long?
He cleared his dishes to the kitchen and proceeded to wash them. He covered the plate he had served for Ji Min and put it in the refrigerator for later.
His phone remained quiet.
He turned the lights off and laid down on the couch, staring at the moon as it shined through the large windows. He didn't dare lay down in his bed or he might fall asleep. It was too risky.
Some time passed before his phone made the notification sound, startling Yoon Gi into sitting bolt upright, his heart pounding.
Jimin:
Sorry, I thought I replied hours ago! 😱Jimin:
I had ramyeon. I was too tired to think of anything.Yoon Gi:
A long day at work?Jimin:
Always! 😮💨 I have to be there early to receive deliveries and I always stay until closing time.Yoon Gi:
Wow! Do you have help?
