"Did you drink the tea?"

"It doesn't matter."

"It does!"

Yoon Gi was agitated, pacing the expanse of the temple in front of where Ji Min sat looking up at him. He got up and reached for Yoon Gi's arm, pulling him into a hug.

"It doesn't matter, because we are together now."

"It wasn't supposed to happen like this. We weren't supposed to be like this." Yoon Gi choked back a sob, grasping the back of Ji Min's robes. "If you drank it and fall asleep and wake up alive and I'm still--"

"Shh, it's okay. All I ever wanted was to be with you. I never cared how." Ji Min tried to soothe him, rubbing his back.

Yoon Gi pulled back to look at his best friend, his love, his reason for being. "But I can't bear to live another life without you."

Ji Min nodded. "You won't. We're meant to be, Yoon Gi. In every life."

"But... the tea?"

Ji Min shook his head. "There wasn't any."

"So..."

"This is it."

"We're..."

"Yeah."

Yoon Gi cupped Ji Min's face in his hands and pulled him into a kiss as tears streamed down his cheeks.
