Toni was definitely confused. And at the same time, she was absolutely terrified. The picture was of her and Zuri. They were in the woods, crouched against a large tree as they peered behind it. Toni's blood ran cold. Someone had taken a picture of them looking at the dumpster fire from within the woods. Where they said they would meet us. She continued to stare at the photo. It looked like...

Like we had planned it. Like we had set the fire. Toni fell back to the bed in shock.

This was crazy. A coincidence. She looked down at the key.

No. This isn't a coincidence. It's a threat.

Regardless of what it was, she had to get rid of the photo. If this got to the police...

She could go to jail. The idea was sickening. Another thought came to the front of Toni's mind. If this is really a threat, they're gonna have another copy of this photo. What was she supposed to do?

Toni sighed, pushing herself out of the bed. There was nowhere she could go. She would have to wait until Zuri came home. She's been gone forever... pretty distant since I went to Zorablim's house. She did say she found work. Toni sighed. Probably just more lies.

Oh. I could go to Zorablim's!

Toni almost scoffed at her stupidity. Zorablim's? Really? But then, wasn't she the only one who could answer Toni's questions? There were other mysteries too. The beans in the dish that Zuri got from Azep for that thanksgiving's dinner? How it was the same material and color as the cloth at the dumpster—. Azep. Fuck. She needed to find Taylor. He had put the fake beans in her dish, hadn't he? Toni ran to the kitchen. Surely he might have some answers... She snatched her keys from the counter and sped to her car, stuffing the odd little key into her pocket.

It was almost too coincidental. Like they wanted her to connect it.

As she drove, Toni couldn't help but think. It only led to more questions from there. How did they know to take the photo if the dumpster fire was a direct consequence of her throwing out the food? Or maybe it wasn't. Was that little thing of cloth enough to set a fire? These are questions I need to ask the delivery man.

As Toni got into her car, another thought came to the forefront of her mind. What If he doesn't have anything to do with it? What If Taylor was just another bystander who happened to get caught in the middle of this mess? Toni backed out of her driveway. I guess I'm about to find out.

By the time she reached the Azep delivery front, the sun was dipping below the horizon. The parking garage was dead silent. Toni parked her car and stepped out. She took a look around then pushed her door closed, mutely surprised when the resounding slam echoed against the walls. I guess I'm doing this.
