Beeeeeeep. Haley opens her eyes, rolls over in bed and turns off her alarm. She glances at the clock and it reads 5 am. "it's the first day of the show!" she whispers to herself. She launches out of bed, opens the door to her bedroom, and slides down the hallway to the banister at the top of the stairs. "Come on y'all, we're burning daylight," She yells with a giggle. "Alright, alright I'm coming!" She hears from the kitchen, that's her mom, Tana. Haley races back to her room to put on some barn clothes before heading out the door. She grabs a pair of Wrangler jeans, and a t-shirt from her favorite brand, Kimes. She races down the stairs only to collide with her dad, Chris." Slow down there! the shows not going anywhere." He says with a smile. "I know, I know, but I don't want to miss a thing!" Haley exclaims. She walks into the kitchen where Tana has made oatmeal, apples, and some eggs. "Everybody grab your food and lets load up!" Tana says with excitement. She didn't want to admit it, but she was as excited as Haley. This was the first show of the AQHA season and neither one of them wanted to miss a thing. They walked out to the truck which was loaded up will anything they'd need. Haley had a duffle bag in one hand and her show-clothes in the other. She handed them to her dad who loaded them up then hopped into the back seat of the silver truck. Tana exited the house carrying a tub of food, Haleys cowboy hat tin, and her computer bag. It was going to be a long ride so Haley popped in her ear buds, and started listening to music.

2 hours later the little family pulled into the show arena parking lot. Haley jumped out of truck and jogs inside to the training barn stalls and her horse, Koko. She is greeted by Tye and John, the trainers,  both smiling at her while she pats Koko. John, who was leading a horse, puts the horse away and then hugs Haley and says hello to Tana and Chris who are standing behind Haley. "Ya ready for a big day?" John asks. " She was born ready!" Tana says laughing. "She was ready at 5 today!" Haley smiled and then turned to see Sophie, her barn sister, smiling at her. "Hey soph!" "Hey Haley!" Sophie says with enthusiasm. The girls don't get to see each other much, so horseshows are a gold mine when it comes to spending time together. Haley began to walk down the isle, hugged Sophie, and continued out the door. She walked for a few minutes, until she reached the camper. She unlocked the door, dropped her boots, and headed inside to prepare for the big day.
