"Yoongi, so, um, are you not talking to Brooklyn anymore?" Hobi hesitatingly asked as the table had been pretty boring without the cute mute girl even though she was just starting to talk.

"No. Why? You want her?" Yoongi asked, not even looking up from his phone.

"No." Hoseok scrunched his face up in confusion. What does he mean by 'do you want her'?

"What happened? Can you talk about it? Is it something I can fix? I swear you better now have broke her heart! Did you cheat on her?!" Jin postponed his flirting session he was just having with Namjoon to join the conversation.

"Why me?! Who is to say she didn't cheat on me?" Yoongi asked.

"Then what happened?" Namjoon asked. Yoongi looked down and bit hip lip in search of a lie.

They wouldn't believe that Brooklyn actually fucked with the football team like Jungkook and Taehyung did cause they knew Brooklyn enough to know that she would never.

"I don't wanna talk about it, it was only 2 weeks ago. But we didn't cheat on each other and we just.. grew apart I guess." Yoongi said as he looked back up.

"Oh, makes sense I guess." Hoseok mumbled under his breath.

"Yeah..." Yoongi whispered as if he was trying to assure himself.

"Yoongi!" Namjoon jogged over to Yoongi who was already waking fast with his headphones in.

"What is it, Namjoon? Aren't you going to Jin's house?" Yoongi asked. Him and Namjoon were the closet out of the group, Namjoon being Yoongi's friend since 2nd grade.

The 2 use to always have long, deep conversations almost everyday when they use walk home with each other, Yoongi only lived a block away from Namjoon so it was perfect. Well, sooner Namjoon eventually met Jin, leaving Yoongi to walk by himself.

But Yoongi of course wasn't gonna be a hater, he was happy for his best friend. He actually now understands why he liked being with his boyfriend so much, thanks to Brooklyn.

"Oh, not today. He's going to his grandfather's house, his mom caught me and him in the middle of a takeout session and now thinks that Jin can't be trusted in a house alone." Namjoon spoke as the 2 started walking again, Yoongi forgetting about the headphones existence as they were shoved back into his pocket.

"Oh." Yoongi chuckled a little.

"That's not funny! You know he ignored me 2 hours because of that?" Namjoon threw a fake fit.

"I still sometimes wonder who's the bottom, you're always a big baby, but then again Jin is the one who always ends up limping. Life is so confusing." Yoongi joked.

"Don't do that, Yoongi, you know I top." Namjoon rolled his eyes playfully.

"I could guess with you a Brooklyn though." Namjoon said.

"Well, yeah, that's pretty obvious." Yoongi shrugged.

"Yoongi, I know you and Brooklyn didn't just one day wake up and decide that you were growing apart. Tell me what actually happened." Namjoon suddenly said after a moment of silence.

"Namjoon, I don't know what to do anymore." Yoongi said as he clutched onto his bookbag straps.

"Tell me, Yoongi. I could help you." Namjoon said.

"Well, when I was walking to school probably a few weeks ago, her dad aka the CEO of Samsung pulled up next to me and so I got in the car cause I met him at her birthday. Then he told me that he wanted me to break up with Brooklyn, something about how she was getting an arranged marriage. He said that if I didn't break up with her then he would get my mom fired and us evicted. If I did break up with her then my mom would get a higher paying position in the office and the rent for this month would be paid." Namjoon could hear the shakiness in Yoongi's voice and could tell that he was about to cry.

"A-and I couldn't be homeless again, Joonie, those were the worst 4 years of my life. I didn't have a choice." Yoongi wiped the tears that spilled from his eyes.

"You're right, Yoongi, you didn't have a choice. She wasn't worth your whole life turning upside down, she should understand if you ever decide to tell her." Namjoon said.

"But she was worth it, Namjoon. She made me feel this unknown kind of happiness, not the one I feel with you or the one I feel when doing the things I love most. I- I didn't have to break her heart like that or say those things to her." Yoongi was having a full on panic attack at that time.

"Text your mom and tell her that you're staying at my house for a bit. What did you say to Brooklyn?" Namjoon was very concerned to see his best friend with tears running
down his face.

If Namjoon was to be exact then the last time he saw Yoongi cry this much was when he was 12 and sprained his ankle.

"Okay. She said she really needed me at home by 6 though." That left them 2 hours to talk.

"So what did you say to her?" Namjoon asked as he sat on his bed, Yoongi following after.

"I- I didn't know what to say and I just wanted her to move on so I said a bit of hurtful things. I told her that she couldn't except the fact that I didn't like her anymore, and that I just should have cheated on her." Yoongi gave Namjoon his phone after closing a few tabs.

"Oh, and she blocked you?" Namjoon said as he read the messages.

"Yep." Yoongi popped the 'p'.

"Oh. Yoongi, I don't know what to tell you. You broke up with her, she's getting married, you're mom is getting more money. I'm sure she would have done the same." Namjoon said.

"No, Brooklyn wouldn't have done the same. She's different, she loves too hard, she'd take 100 bullets for me yet I picked a stupid offer over her!" Yoongi held his face in his hands, that's when Namjoon heard Yoongi sobbing.

"Don't cry, bro. It's gonna be alright." Namjoon hesitantly hugged Yoongi in the first time after years.

You really do grow apart with time. When the 2 were little, it was their daily thing to always hug when they saw each other. They'd hold hands while skipping down the sidewalk, share clothes, straws, you name it.

Yoongi starting being less touchy and best friendy with Namjoon after a guy in 7th grade called them gay when he saw them hug.

"Did you try telling her mom?" Namjoon whispered since he was talking right next to Yoongi's ear.

"No, she probably hates me now." Yoongi said back.

"Don't give up on anything yet, Yoongi, don't give up one Brooklyn."

How was he ever suppose to give up on his first love anyways?
