Jealous

I groaned when I saw my body in front of the mirror. I can now confirm the changes in my figure—namimilog na ang aking mga braso at pati ang mga hita. I stared at myself a bit more while trying to fix my brassiere. Medyo masikip na iyon sa akin. Hindi ko sigurado kung lumalaki lang ba ang dibdib ko o ang mismong katawan ko. I sighed.

This is Martin's fault. He just kept sending food to me. Araw-araw at walang palya. I was sure that he was trying to make me fat. Though, there was nothing wrong with that. Gusto ko lang kasi talaga na palagi akong fit.

Napailing na lang ako habang nagbibihis. Naisip ko sanang magsuot ng skirt pero pati iyon ay mahirap nang isuot. I sighed and just settled on a denim jeans and a basic top.

Quinn:

You don't need to send food for me this lunch. I'll have a lunch meeting with a client.

Isinend ko iyon kay Martin at nagpatuloy sa pag-aayos.

"What?" Bungad ko nang tumawag siya.

"Lunch meeting with whom?"

"I told you...with a client."

"Who?"

I rolled my eyes.

"With Raven."

There was a pause on his end.

"Sige na. I'm busy doing my makeup. I don't wanna be late."

"May I see your look?"

"Ha! Asa ka!"

He sighed. "Okay, don't make yourself too beautiful," he then chuckled this time.

I rolled my eyes even though he couldn't see me. "I'm doing this for myself, not for anybody else."

"Alright, I know..."

"Whatever, Rotchford."

I was greeted by a hostess when I entered the restaurant. I told her my reservation then she guided me inside. Mas nauna ako kay Raven kaya pagdating niya ay paulit-ulit siyang nag-sorry.

"It's just fine. Napaaga ako ng dating," ngiti ko.

"Still, I apologize." I nodded. "So... let's get started?"

Inilabas ko ang dalang laptop at nag-start na siyang mag-discuss tungkol sa gusto niyang product packaging design and brochures na gagawin ko. We did a lot of brainstorming and I'm admiring his creative mind. Sobrang open din niya sa mga ideas. It was fun working with him.

"Why don't you try applying for big companies?" He asked. We were now eating.

"I'm still enjoying my job as a freelancer. Also, I'm still working on my portfolio. This is a big transition to my career kaya kailangan ko ulit magsimula sa baba."

"Wait... you just changed your career?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong niya. I laughed.

"I'm a Structural Engineer," I told him.

He looked surprised. Mas tinawanan ko siya habang umiinom sa aking juice.

"Wow, you really do know what you're doing as a graphic designer. I didn't know..."

"Yeah, pero malay mo bumalik ako sa field. I'm still not sure."

I noted everything what Raven wanted. Sinigurado ko muna ang lahat bago kami naghiwalay. He told me na pwede ulit kami mag-meet if there will be changes but I also told him na kahit hindi na para less hassle sa aming dalawa. I could email him the progress, that was what I said to him. But, the possibility of another meeting is always in the corner lalo na't kung may malaking changes sa design.
