Time. Space. Reality. It's more than a linear path. It's a prism of endless possibility, where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities, creating alternate worlds from the ones you know. I am the Author. I am your guide through these vast new realities. Follow me and ponder the question... "What if?"
"PIKACHU ARE YOU OKAY!?"
"I will fix this, I will make things great again..."
Suddenly a powerful roar was heard and time itself was shaken so badly things began to reverse to beginning, before things went too far another roar was heard, stabilising the previous one so time was stuck in one point.
??? POV
I'd slip on my green, fingerless gloves, placing my red cap up on my head and straightening my blue jacket, I'd pick up my pokéball clock and point it at the tv which was playing a match from five years ago, my favourite one yet; Venusaur Vs Charizard, Red vs Blue! "Red is so cool!" I'd yell as I'd then clutch the pokéball clock tighter "Tomorrow...I'll set out on my journey to become a pokémon master! ASH KETCHUM FROM PALLET TOWN IS THE NAME EVERYONE WILL BE YELLING!"
Third person
"Yeah..!" Ash would say but then his mom came up, however without second thought Ash quickly turned off the tv upon hearing the stairs and then threw on his pj's, turned off the lights and jumped into bed by the time his mother had came into the room she had just seen a sleeping Ash. "Sleep well sweetie, tomorrow is gonna be a big day for you!" She'd say supportively as she then walked down the stairs.
As Ash sleeps, he goes over the choices in his head reasoning that any of the three available Pokémon are good for starting Trainers. However, his Voltorb alarm clock rolls into his hand as he sleeps and, dreaming that he's throwing a Poké Ball, he chucks it at the wall, smashing it, this causing an issue as it would no longer go off and as a result.
The next day
Ash would wake up late! "AAAAAAAGHH!!!!! MOM WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP!" Ash would exclaim as he ran down the stairs, rushing past the dining room he grabbed a slice of toast with butter spread on it, he ate it as he ran to the lab "No time to get changed..." he muttered to himself as he left. "Oh that boy sometimes..." Delia Ketchum would sigh as she then sat down mentally preparing herself to go to Oak's lab and send Ash off.
Ash stopped running to respectfully open the gates to professor Oak's estate and then ran to the entrance of the lab but just as he was about to open it he was met with a spiky, side-swept haired boy who just happened to be the professors grandson "So you did show up after-all eh Ashy-boy?" the boy said teasingly but Ash wasn't having it "Gary I don't have time for you right now." Ash said as he pushed him to the ground and ran inside the lab.
Gary owned count: 1
Ash would go up the stairs of the lab and would witness many magnificent inventions made by the Great Professor Samuel Oak but while he was star-gazing professor Oak himself would snap him out of his trance "Are you here for tourism or to start your journey?" Professor Oak would calmly ask, Ash would jump and then run in front of him "Oh Mr Professor Oak I'm so sorry I'm late! Please tell me theres a pokémon left for me!?" Ash would desperately ask and professor Oak would just chuckle, pointing to the machine. Our hero would run towards the machine "I've thought about it long and hard but I've decided to choose!" He said as he grabbed a pokéball and held it up "SQUIRTLE!" he said excitedly as he opened the pokéball only to be met with nothing inside "That pokémon was taken by a trainer who was ON time." Professor Oak would say to Ash. "H-huh!? W-well then that's not what I was expecting but I guess I'll choose Bulbasaur!" Ash spoke he opened up the Bulbasaur's pokéball and was met with...nothing!
"A minor set-back." Ash said with false hope 'damn it I guess I can't get Red's starter' he thought to himself. "Well looks like it's Charmander choose it or lose it!" Ash would comment, hoping this pokéball had not suffered the same fate as all the others, but surely enough it did, Ash would then break down "No...how am I supposed to be a pokémon master now without a pokémon...a parter..." Ash would say curled up on the floor "Get up boy! If you really want to be a trainer that bad, I guess I'll have to give you the spare!" Professor Oak responded to Ash's pathetic actions.
"Wait a spare!?" Ash jumped up in joy ready to receive the spare "I don't mind if it's dangerous I'll take care of it real good! You'll see, me and my pokémon'll be buddies in no time!"
Professor Oak smiled and pressed a button and a fourth pokéball came out of the machine which was then grabbed by Ash "I should warn you, it doesn't take kin-" but Ash was already yelling Go pokéball and sent out the pokémon inside the pokéball "WOW A PIKACHU? JUST LIKE RED'S? SO COOL!" but the Pikachu was annoyed and shocked Oak and Ash, however Ash had actually forgotten to take off his gloves last night, and his gloves were based off of Red's one which had a rubber insulator so powerful it shielded his whole body from the electricity, Ash in fact just found them in the 'guest' room one day, he had forgotten to ask his mother why there was stuff in the guest room as if someone had lived there before.
Ash POV
I would pick up Pikachu and hug it "Hey calm down buddy, I don't mean to harm ya you know!" then i'd place it down on a table nearby and massage its red cheeks because I had read somewhere Pikachu releases stress and pent up electricity when relaxed, "Chaaaaa!" Pikachu would say relaxed, this would leave the Professor impressed on my knowledge about some pokémon.
"Alright Pikachu so do you want to accompany me on my journey to become a pokémon master..?" I said to the fuzzy, bright, yellow electric rodent, it's response was it saying "Pikapi! (Which actually means Satoshi/Ash if you didn't know)" and ran up my arm onto my shoulder, shortly after getting my pokédex and six pokéballs from the Professor I would exit the building where I was met by my mother "Mom look at my pokémon!" Delia would look proud and also a bit confused on how I even got a pokémon because as far as she knew the only starters where Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charmander. "Pikachu? Aw it's so cute honey! But don't you find it a little weird? Aren't pokémon supposed to stay inside their balls..?" Pikachu would look a little annoyed by this question but I'd calmly respond "Nah Pikachu doesn't like being in there, besides if we're gonna be buddies he can't always stay in there!".
After I had explained that to my mother she had given me my travelling clothes, backpack, pokégear, 100k pokédollars, a bike and ???.
As I left pallet after getting changed all I heard was "DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE YOUR UNDERWEAR EVERYDAY, TAKE SHOWERS!" so I had hopped on the bike and me and Pikachu rode off!
We got off the bike and encountered a wild Pidgey so I commanded Pikachu to use thundershock after scanning it with the pokédex, but It seems I had made a miscalculation on Pikachu's strength because the pokémon had fainted on impact, no use beating up a beaten pokémon I always say to myself, after me and Pikachu had caught every pokemon in the area (Pidgey, Rattata, Sandshrew and a Spearow) we had decided to take a break to throw rocks, but due to my s*it luck a rock hit a spearow and the spearow called it's entire flock, me and Pikachu took them down with relative ease but then they called their olders, the fearows began flying at us with rapid speeds and I knew Pikachu was tired after all those battles so I picked him up and rode but we fell into the river.
My bike at this point had sunk and many water pokémon were passing us, HELL I EVEN SAW A GYARADOS, It probably belonged to someone though because it didn't attack us, when I finally found land I saw an orange-haired girl "Hey I need your bike!" I said as I hopped on and rode off holding my injured Pikachu in my arms (You guys thought i'd get rid of Misty?) unfortunately the bike hit a tiny stone so we fell into the mud, covered in rain, mud and dirt I looked at Pikachu and knew what I had to do.
"FEAROW! Do you know who I am? I'm Ash, from the town of Pallet. I'm destined to be the world's number one Pokémon master! I can't be defeated by the likes of you. I'm going to capture and defeat you all! ...,Pikachu go inside the PokéBall--it's the only way! ...COME AND GET ME!!!" I said with my arms out, Pikachu looked at me with tears in its eyes and then yelled "PIKAPIKACHU!" and it jumped onto my shoulder and then into the air "PIIIIIIII....KAAAAAAAA.....CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!" it yelled as thunder clouds would swarm the air, the night sky was near invisible, the rain only serving to make it worse, Pikachu would then summon it's thunder attack from the clouds taking out all the Fearow, he then fell into my arms and after catching a Fearow I'd walk on to Viridian city.
