Competence {A pokémon story}

Chapter Six: A push for power and a chance to prove it.

I'm a liar, last chapter I said I might feature celadon or saffron but I literally can't with the arc I'm planning on writing, just know I'm making the S.S Anne a tad bit more interesting and relevant.

Also be prepared this chapter has over nine thousand words

Time. Space. Reality. It's more than a linear path. It's a prism of endless possibility, where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities, creating alternate worlds from the ones you know. I am the Author. "What if?"

"PIKACHU ARE YOU OKAY!? Cmon buddy...we need to get up..!"

"I will fix this, I will make things great again..."

Suddenly a powerful roar was heard and time itself was shaken so badly things began to reverse to beginning, before things went too far another roar was heard, stabilising the previous one so time was stuck in one point. Hm..? Isn't that usually where it'd end..? Ash would ask within his consciousness as suddenly freeze-frames, several of them began flashing before his eyes...Marching soldiers bearing a logo of a rainbow R, the planet in ruins yet...One boy stood; him, his Pikachu, A frog-like ninja, a Charizard, a green gecko, a fire monkey, a steel titan, a purple dragon, a wrestler cat, a warrior dog and a tall dragon...They stood tall like no others, true winners who fought till the very end.

No matter how many times the team was knocked down they just got up again...

They were no beginners.

Together they fought the rainbow R team who I was certain was team rocket; and just as a pod has landed-

"Ash..."

"ASH"

"ASH!!!"

Welp here's a familiar scene, Ash, Misty, Brock and Pikachu lost traversing a forest; however this time two new faces with them, them being Giselle and Joey. Except you may have the question- Didn't Joey have a map to lead them to Vermillion city in the last part..? Well yes he did but funny story.

"Oh my Arceus, Joey is that a Dragonair! Ash, Joey, Brock please catch it for me!" Giselle had pleaded as a majestic serpent pokemon had slithered around a tiny ravine the group had been passing by, Brock however his face deadpanned "Actually I think I should prepare the next meal- After-all we wouldn't want to be on an empty stomach on Route 25! There are all sorts of cool pokemon here" Brock would then take out his outdoor cooking set, Misty going to sleep early in a tent, still not particularly fond of the idea of Giselle travelling with them. Meanwhile Ash and Joey were both fighting like dogs trying to catch the Dragonair.

"CHARMANDER USE DRAGON RAGE!"

"WEEPINBELL USE SOLAR BEAM!"

...

But the Dragonair exploded and out came Jessie and James (comment if you want Meowth back) flying into the air yelling "TEAM ROCKETS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" this had left the entire group bewildered, they had prevented an attack before it had even happened. Joey then looked at his map and it had been ripped to shreds from all the commotion!

So now we zoom into the present.

"Oh no the map- It's gone..." Joey had muttered in distress, looking down at the torn pieces of the map; this was bad, without it how were they supposed to find their way to Vermillion city!?
