"I'm sorry-"

"YOUR SORRY? You slept with three different men? Do you know how this looks to our family?"

Reyes' father yelled at him. His eyes turned bright red as he did "YOU Have a long list of beautiful young girls all dying to marry you and you go off and sleep with a man?"

"I already told you, I don't want to get married to any of those girls! I'm not interested in any of them!" Reyes yelled back, 'my father is so frustrating, Why does he need me to marry a girl?' Reyes thought to himself. It's not like the King needed an heir, Reyes had at least ten other siblings to do that job.

Reyes rolled his eyes in annoyance "I don't see why you're so annoyed? It's not like I forced them, in fact all of them said they liked it afterwards!" He tried to reason with his father, the king. If Reyes had none that simply going out to the pub and hooking up with a few guys would cause this much problem, he would probably rethink. Maybe

"Why am I annoyed? I AM FURIOUS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT MY SON TO BE A HOMOSEXULA THATS WHY!" Reyes' father grabbed the front of his shirt pulling him up to his fathers height, yelling in his face, Reyes could feel spit landing on him. "HOMOSEXUALS ARE DISGUSTING DO YOU HEAR ME?" his grip tightening around Reyes collar and he started to choke, tears started to well in his eyes out of frustration.

"Well?" the asshole asked

"f-fuck you-you, you b-basterd." He spat through gritted teeth. Reyes' father dropped his son and he fell hard on his ass. He looked down, raising his hands up waiting for his father to hit him but it never came.

Reyes felt his cape hit him in the face. He looked up to see him turn away, confused. Reyes started to stand up thinking the conversation was over.

"Leave." his father demanded

"What?" Reyes asked

" I, king Hansel, will not accept my son to be a homosexual. You must leave." his father stated calmly. He looked back at Reyes, hatred filled his eyes as he stared. Reyes looked back at him. He hated him. He abused him. Hurt him. Stopped Reyes from living a happy life. So why? Why was water leaking from his eyes? Why did his vision suddenly become blurry? Reyes hated him, so why was he so upset over the fact that once he finally said he didn't want him... Why did it hurt? His father- I mean the king cleared his throat.

"What are you waiting for then? Leave and never return your face here again or it will be placed upon a stick." he snapped. Reyes turned around the tears continuing to drizzle down his cheeks. He didn't know what to think.

He took a step forward, looking back once more at the man he once called father. He sat on his throne looking at him. Reyes looked into his eyes, they were dark red now. He couldn't tell what he was thinking.

"I'm sorry" He mumbled once more before turning back and walking out of the throne room.

Where will he go? What will he do? All these questions filled Reyes' head as he walked back towards his bedroom. He had spent my whole life here and barely knew anywhere else.

He arrived in his bedroom and sat down on his neatly done bed. 'This will be the last time I sit on my bed like this.' Reyes thought to himself. Before he could dwell any longer a knock came from his door. His eldest brother Allen came in.

" I heard what happened, you're leaving huh." he muttered. Before Reyes could respond he lifted his hand. In it was a necklace of simple gold with a small crimson ruby in it. "It was mothers," he stated.

She gave it to me, but since you're leaving I assume you're gonna need it a lot more than me." He smiled sadly "I have countless portraits to look at you won't have ... you wont have anything once you leave." he looked at Reyes with tears threatening to fall down his face. Reyes smiled at him, not being able to talk in fear the he would start crying again.

"Apologies prince, but you must leave. King's orders" a guard spoke standing by the door. Reyes looked at his brother once more. He hugged him tightly, letting go much quicker than he would have liked.

"You'll be alright? Promise me" his brother held out his pinky. Reyes caught his pinky with his brothers and with shaky breathe told him "I promise,"

Reyes followed the guard out the castle, as he took a step off the grounds, he looked back towards what he called home only an hour ago. "You are expected to leave the grounds of Wrath at once and never show your face here again. If your face is seen and caught by the guards you will be killed." the guard said in a monotone voice.

Reyes nodded at him and turned around, not paying attention to where he was going. Thoughts clouded his mind as he wandered further and further away from the kingdom he once loved.

It was getting dark and as Reyes looked up to see where he was, dread took over his whole body once he recognised where he had walked. He wasn't thinking while walking and ignored everything around him until it was too late. He had ended up in The cruel forest. A place so full of monsters and creatures unknown to man that no one ever goes in, and if they do, they never come out.

He rubbed his eyes hoping he was seeing this wrong but as he did he heard a growl behind him. He didn't even want to think about what creature was standing behind him and without looking back he ran, ran as fast as he could not looking where he was going. He heard quick small footsteps behind him so he knew whatever it was, it was chasing him.

As he ran he could hear the footsteps multiplying. His feet hurt and it was too dark to see where he was going. He felt something grab onto his leg and he panicked, turning around to try and shove it off. He  couldn't tell what it was but he could feel teeth start to sink into his leg. He wailed out in pain. Once he finally shoved off the creature, he took a step back only for there to be no land behind him.

He fell, tumbling down a muddy cliff  hitting the ground he felt numb and after what felt like years of terrible pain his eyes shut.
