ALEXANDRIA DIAZ NEVER ran as fast as she did when she was told Marcus had gotten hurt. Her heart was in her throat when she seen him laying in his bed. He had been so broken, this alarmed Alex. She didn't know what to do. Ellen told her she could stay by his side for as long as she wanted. It ended up being a whole school day.

Her hand was laced with Marcus's. It was late, and she knew Ginny and Georgia were over for dinner, but she didn't move. Marcus had been up once or twice. He was in pain medication, so whenever he woke up her groggily glanced up and smiled up at her. Alex wanted to be there when he woke up for good. He needed someone to talk to.

Alexandria glanced up from her phone as Ginny arrived in Marcus's doorway. She could've swore she shit herself when Ginny eyed their hands together. Marcus had been out of it, but she seen a twinge of jealousy on Ginny's face.

"Ginny, hey." Alexandria greeted slipping her hand away from Marcus's. Ginny took a deep breath before proceeding into the room. She didn't like the way Alexandria was here, she acted like they were together.

"I see you've been watching him. He won't go anywhere, you know. He's asleep." Ginny remarked earning an empty stare from Alexandria. Was this bitch serious?

"If you're so fucking bothered, I'll leave." Alex replied getting up. She froze when she seen Padma behind Ginny. "You've got to be fucking kidding me."

"Hey." Padma greeted awkwardly, holding some of Marcus's homework. Alexandria hummed and smiled at her. This felt like some awful fucking movie. Was this a set up? Was this karma? Was this Alexandria's last fucking straw? God, Alex needed a jell-o shot and a blunt right now.

"I was just looking for the bathroom." Ginny lied. Alexandria stood there awkwardly. She wanted to make a run for it, but that'd be way to obvious. So, she just crossed her arms and prayed Marcus didn't wake up. Padma walked in and set his homework down, glaring at the two other girls nervously.

Alexandria sucked in a breath and took this as her chance. She sent a fleeting look to Marcus and stopped at the doorway.

"This was nice, but I promised Queen Ginny I'd leave, so..." Alexandria said before practically running down the stairs, sending a quick smile and wave to Ellen, and dipping. There was no way Alex would be caught in that shit storm.

ALEXANDRIA WALKED INTO Marcus's bedroom with a smile on her face. Marcus texted her that he missed her. She was so fucking excited. She wanted to figure them out, she wanted to talk to him and let him know she was there. That was all tainted when she walked in. Her smile dropped when she seen Ginny leaning down to kiss Marcus. He took it and looked to the door, moving away from Ginny.

"Al—" Marcus yelped when he seen her, he gently moved away from Ginny as he began to stand up. Ginny looked so scared when she was caught.

Alexandria felt as if she was going to throw up. Her eyes involuntarily watered as he walked over to her. She was mortified.

"Marcus, what the fuck." She muttered, baffled by what she seen. What the fuck was he doing? "You said— you said all of that shit. About me never leaving. Then you pull this. With her?"

"Alexandria, please let me explain." Marcus pleaded, his eyes staring into hers. Alexandria clenched her jaw as she stared down. Her heart sank. She felt betrayed. This couldn't be happening.

"We're trying to get Max to not call—" Abby began before noticing the tears that had forced themselves out of Alexandria's blurred eyes. She immediately turned back and left the room making Ginny run after her worriedly.

Marcus clasped Alexandria's hand with fear in his eyes. Fear that because Ginny had swept in before he could do anything. He couldn't lose her over this.

"I can't believe you." Alexandria bellowed with her teeth gritted. Anger fueled her mind and made her feel like she was burning hot. She looked up to him, her cheeks had turned red. She began to turn away, but she stopped when Marcus had grabbed her hand.

"I was cutting it off. I swear, she just kissed me, Al. You're who I want." Marcus said with desperation flooding his words. Alexandria shook her head. She couldn't do this. She didn't want to walk away. Her promise would be broken so soon.

"Let me go. I need to be alone. I need to think." Alexandria said tugging her arm away. She ran out of the house for the second time. She didn't know what to with herself. So, she decided to get fucked up.

SIPPING HER GRANDMOTHERS tequila was not her ideal night. She figured she would've spent it with Marcus. She assumed she'd be happy in bed with him watching a show or stealing kisses from him, not laying in her own bed sad.

She scrolled through tiktok, thankful that her pain had been numbed by the alcohol. Her heart stung, unlike her throat that had gotten used to the sting after the past ten sips. If this was what love did, fuck it. Emotions suck. Love sucks. Marcus Baker fucking sucks. Fuck this shit.
