After Castiel was given a warm welcome back from the Winchesters, they sat at the table that was in the library area of the bunker. As Castiel carved his name into the wooden table with a sharp blade as instructed by Dean, Sam asked the question both the men were curious of but Castiel was damned by "Where have you been Cas? It's been a whole month." Sam uncomfortably shifted in his seat and Dean anxiously waited for an answer. Without a single word Castiel finally finished with the carving of his name and slid the blade to Dean though he was mostly focused on Cas's response. Seeing the Winchesters' eyes filled with childlike curiosity and worry Castiel knew he'd be wasting time to attempt avoiding the hefty question. "Dean. Sam." He spoke before clearing his throat. He felt his stomach twist and turn, he looked down at his clothes that were a bit too fitting for him. Dean's shirt he lended Cas and some shorts Sam never wore that were a bit tighter than he would've liked, his eyes fixated on the shorts afraid to speak yet his fixation turned to the men who sat on the edge of their seats. "I had left to get my grace back." Castiel spoke. Silence fell over them for a moment before Castiel spoke up once more "I had ended up getting my grace back though it costed me much more than I originally thought. During my process of getting my grace someone had stolen an archangel blade." He noticed the Winchesters faces twist from concern and curiosity to impatience, typically he would find this amusing but he knew denying them information would only anger them so he continued "Though it wasn't me heaven sent angels after me to investigate, which turned into a battle that I had won; however it cost me nearly my life and 3 weeks. The last week I was hiding, afraid they'd hunt you guys down as well." Cas spoked carefully as if choosing each word individually, he avoided eye contact with Dean watching Sam. He felt Dean staring at him and Sam was focused on something else assuming he was trying to process what Cas said. The stillness of the room stirred up Dean's stomach, he never was the type to sit in silence. Dean's eyes darted to Sam in hopes he'd have an answer, Sam couldn't even think of what to say he only felt tense. Sam rubbed his neck with a small groan he couldn't help but still have the feeling of relief over himself, his eyes making their way to Dean. Sam knew Dean wanted answers but Sam simply had none, Cas cleared his throat in hopes to move the silence in which it worked. Sam needing to take time to process all that he was told spoke up "Well Cas. I'm just happy you're back with your grace which is amazing. I mean everything else is just another day for us, right?" He asked himself more so than anyone else in the room. Dean nodded slightly "Yeah, I'm just glad you're okay Cas" he offered a small smile to Cas but was ignored which confused him but he shrugged it off. Sam stood up slowly as if the exhaustion of not sleeping for a month hit him like a truck "I'm off to sleep then." With that he left and his footsteps stopping abruptly and a door closing echoed seconds later throughout the bunker. Castiel stood up quietly, Dean soon stood as well and made his way to Castiel. Castiel looked up from his feet that he was just staring at, he saw a look of sadness on Dean's face "Dean." He spoke in a whisper. Dean felt shivers up his spine hearing his name, he couldn't help but wrap his arms around Cas pulling him into a hug. After a few moments Cas slid his arms around Dean, after hearing Dean's prayer he was nervous to be near Dean afraid of what would happen to him. Cas felt his knees shaking, remembering the prayer, Dean begging, the whimpering, the moans, Cas snapped out his thoughts by Dean pulling away from the hug. Dean offered another small smile to Cas this time Castiel returning it, "Goodnight Cas" Dean said as he gave Cas a pat on his shoulder before Castiel wishing him a nice sleep and Dean walking to his own room. Cas sat there letting his thoughts drown him, soon getting on Sam's laptop to watch cat videos on YouTube.
