Sky POV

I had finished packing my bag. It was a light blue Nike sports bag. I looked over at Alex packing his bag. After me being the one to rescue him he still had the audacity to look good. Wow he was amazing. Stop it Sky, he would never love you back. After all look at you, you're an anti-social egotistical girl who was trained in the Special Forces. She was basically an arsehole.

"Done?" I asked.

"Yeah I'm done." Replied Alex.

We opened up the shutter that we had locked two weeks ago. The blinding sunlight momentarily blocked their view. As soon as their vision cleared up they spotted a myriad of zombies heading for them. Alex ducked as a zombie swiped for his head, then kicked it in its knee and sent it sprawling. I admired his reflexes for a moment before a firm hand dragged me away. If couldn't fathom why I was grabbed until a zombie who had made an attempt to bite me fell flat onto its face, and didn't get up.

"Quit daydreaming and RUN!" Shouted Alex

Alex and I ran. We ran past the zombies, out of the mall, through a boarded door gaining some cuts and bruises. We didn't stop running until we were far away from the mall and until we were physically unable to carry on. But this time, Alex was the one leading me.

We had arrived in the middle of the forest. There were some logs suspiciously laid there, I was too tired to care so I threw myself down at the log and lay there.

"So... do you...know where, we are?" I rattled between breaths

"Yeah... were at Hobson forest."

"Hobson forest?" I recognised that name from somewhere. I was told a story about how amazing the fishing grounds were there, also how many different fruits they grew there. Alex made an innocuous punch at my arm.

"Hey, snap out of it. You have been daydreaming a lot today. Each time your stare straight into my eyes." He said.

Oh my, I had been staring into his eyes. His emerald green eyes. He probably thought I was a weirdo.

I looked own "I'm so sorry..."

"Hey, no need to apologise." He said sympathetically, and got up to hug me. I stiffened then relaxed into the hug. Then I knew what I and Alex had wasn't just in my head.
