Kiara and Leon chatting above.
je ne sais quoi
(n.) an indescribable or unnameable quality
Over the past few weeks, Kiara and Leon had remained relatively civil as they got comfortable slipping into their characters and playing one another's love interests. After nearly coming to blows at the table read, it was no secret to their colleagues that the two actors were exes so they agreed to at least maintain professionalism for everyone else's sake.
While their on-screen chemistry remained unaffected by their history, the volatile tension was still palpable anytime the two were in one room. She had always been the benevolent type and had long since forgiven him for any mistakes in the past but that did little to ease the guilt he felt for his attitude. It was for this reason that they took the time out of their day one afternoon to spend time together as he poured his heart out, shedding tears over the immense weight of remorse he burdened himself with.
Laying all their flaws and misconceptions out in the open, the two old ex-lovers buried their animosities and slowly worked towards rebuilding their friendship. It would take longer, however, for Vijay to mend his relationship with Leon. He made his repugnance abundantly clear but respected Kiara's instincts and decisions enough to keep his opinions to himself. Rajamouli had begun shooting for their movie, approximating just over a year before filming would be complete. The entire day, she had been fretting over the fact that Chris hadn't contacted her all day. While it had barely been over a month since being in India and they had daily phone calls, she couldn't help but miss him as she thought back to their farewell.
Hugging Kiara goodbye, Chris dropped her off at the airport as hundreds of photographers ate up the moment like a starved man being offered food. She quickly grabbed his hand as he stepped away, ignoring the camera flashes and tugging his body against hers to press one final kiss against his lips. Heatedly running her palms down his chest, she curled her fingers into the soft material of his fitted shirt as he ran his hand along her waist to rest them against her hips.
Quickly creating space between them before she got carried away, she stroked his cheek and murmured wistfully, "I'll miss you."
He smiled, "Call me every day, okay?"
"Okay."
"At any time."
"Okay."
"Even if I–"
"Chris! You're getting yourself worked up over nothing again."
Squeezing her hand firmly before backing away, he watched as she handed her passport to the guard and turned to face him, "Hey hero... I love you!"
The camera flashes and gossip channel cameras grew louder as he laughed at her carefree nature and yelled back, "I love you, trouble!"
Finishing up with the final scene for the day, Kiara was sat in the makeup trailer alongside Leon as they worked to clean the fake blood off their foreheads. Today was dedicated to shooting an extreme fight scene, one both of them had spent the past few weeks training for. Reading the script, she had expected their first week to entail a more relaxed scene but instead was met with scenes consisting of hand-to-hand combat and CGI wiring for stunts.
