JISOO
My parents weren't bad, they never were. When I was a child they were more liberal with me and I was very spoiled by them, especially by my father.
When I decided that I wanted to be part of the famous industry, I didn't get a lot of support. My father knew this camp well, maybe he was afraid that something bad would happen to me. It was then that I could see my father being strict and not very supportive in the life I chose, however getting used to the idea.
When Haeji 'died', their support was essential. They were the ones who told me to finish what I had with Haein and follow my dream. They gave me full support in my career, but I ended up moving away from them when the group ended, and I only met them on some commemorative date.
"So are you pregnant again?" It was my mother's voice. I nodded slowly, I didn't know exactly what to say let alone what they wanted to hear from me. "Are you ready to tell us everything that happened? You never did." She asked looking at me seriously, I swallowed hard.
"We've seen all the news, but we want to hear this story from you." I knelt down in front of them, ready to tell.
Telling them everything was like lifting a weight off my shoulders. They listened attentively, asked a few questions and were shocked by the absurdity. When I finished, my father reached over and gently lifted my face, he was bent down towards me and wiped a tear with his thumb.
"We should have been more understanding with you, dear." I swallowed hard. "I, as your father, I should have helped you and stayed by your side. You've been through this pain all these years and I thought you were fine." I closed my eyes, afraid this was a dream. "Forgive us, dear. If we had known, we would have done something to help." I just threw myself into his arms and felt his tight embrace, not remembering the last time I had done that and feeling good with that feeling that I missed so much.
"We want to apologize and get to know better the man you chose to be the father of your children, just as we want to get to know our granddaughter." Said my mother and I sighed in relief.
I texted Jennie, and she sent me the location of the playground where they were. My parents drove me there, and despite my dad's confident pose, I knew he was nervous. My mother, on the other hand, was euphoric.
When we parked, we saw Jennie on a swing with Taeyun in her arms and Taehyung and Haeji upside down on the bars, laughing, remembering that I loved doing that with my brother.
"She looks a lot like you." My dad said what was a song to my ears and I smiled.
"Are you ready to meet her?" I question, and they are silent for a few minutes before nodding, and we get out of the car.
Haeji as soon as she saw me she got down from the bars and ran to me, I bent down to hug her.
"Mommy!" She hugged me before pulling away. "Are you okay?" I nodded and stroked her cheek before getting up and taking her hand.
"I want you to meet two people."
"Grandpa and Grandma Kim?" I nodded and she denied it. "They didn't like me, and they made you sad, Mama." I sighed, my parents were a little further back, so they didn't hear her.
"They apologized to me." She looked surprised. "And they want to meet you, do you want to meet them?" She hesitated a little and looked at my parents from afar, then she looked at me again and nodded. I held her hand, and we went together to my parents who stared at her as if they didn't believe she was real.
