Love Isn't a Choice

Seth

I wake up in my room looking at the ceiling. "I can't believe this." I said sitting up. Why do I want Yuya? Ever since I stopped talking to Machi about what I should do, I have been a little reckless than normal. My mind is on him all the time.

I walk to school and put my things away. I look around for Yuya or Machi but I don't see them. "Len..." I heard a familiar voice. I turn to see Seth standing there with his hood up over his blonde streaked hair. "Come here, we need to talk." he told me walking towards the door to leave the school. I grab my coat and scarf. "Seth I'm in school." I said following him. "I signed you out."

We walk to a park that everyone loves. Everyone in the town calls it 'Fountain Park' because in the center is a large water fountain. "Are you okay?" I ask sitting on a bench next to him. "Have you talked to Machi recently?" he asks with a serious look on his face. Seth can be serious,but I have never seen him this serious. "No why?" I stand up and look down at him worried that something happened to her. "Seth tell me!" I just about scream at him.

"My child died inside of Machi." Seth stated. I look down at him with tears clouding my vision. I hugged him and I heard him sniffle. "How Machi doing?" I wipe my tears. "Not good. We found out that we are having twins....or was. Now it is just a girl." he tells me. We sit on a bench for hours talking about Machi and the baby. Seth seems so happy when he talks about them. "I should be getting back to school to pick up my phone. I will stop by her house in the way home." We both stood up and hugged each other. Seth is like my best friend and Machi is like a sister to me. I'm really glad he told me about the miscarriage.

I walk back to school and grab my phone. I walk past the cafeteria when I notice Yuya talking to his friends. It will be weird talking to him after he kisses my forehead,but I want to be near him so much.

I walk to the table where Yuya is. "Hey Len." Yuya greeted moving a seat down so I could sit next to him. "This is Lane." He pointed at a guy with pitch black hair and olive skin. "And this is Jax." he pointed to a guy with black dreads and a diamond square stud in his left ear. "Hi." I say shyly. Jax and Lane talk about sports and Yuya doesn't say a word, he just looks down at me.

Jax and Lane disappears to another table and I say "Yuya-" What is wrong?" he asks with concern. "N-nothing." I say looking away. "Len..." he begins. Yuya puts his face near mine and my shoulder is touching his collar bone. "Can we go somewhere else to talk?" I ask standing up hoping he will come. "Sure." Yuya gets up and follows me to an empty classroom.

"Y'know Machi was pregnant right?" I ask getting straight to the point. "I heard rumors."

"Seth, Machi's boyfriend told me that she is having twins,but the one is dead." I stated. I have no emotion in my voice when I tell him. Yuya stares at me like he knew the person all his life. "What?" he asks. I don't say a word..... I can't. I open my mouth to speak and my voice breaks "I'm...going to Machi's house after school. Can you-" I'm in Yuya's arms.

I didn't realize it, but tears were running down my cheeks. Yuya holds me up because I feel like I have no energy. I cling onto his shirt until I wipe away my tears. I look up at him and he wipes his finger under my eyes to fix my makeup. "I'll come with you." he whispers in my ear. I just hug him wanting warmth and wanting to feel loved....like I matter.

"Thanks." I say taking his hand.
