A/N:: Pretty sure everyone thought I'd forgotten about this story.. Plot twist, they'd be right.

Yeah, I'm back at it again AKA forcing my hand to go brrr works for once lol.

Purpletwo scribbled note after note, reading and rereading through the little sparkly notebook that was Two's inventor notes.

He considered himself lucky that was pretty detailed, the schematics and the blueprints were sharp, and any handwriting Two had left was basically identical to their own, so deciphering through wasn't so hard.

No, no. The hard part..

Was figuring out why he hadn't wrote the way to actually time travel.

"You write how to build the hardware, you write how to code the CPU, you even think to write down the very screws that you used!" Bluetwo groaned from the pull-out mattress he was laying on, "..And you're telling me that you didn't have it in you to write how it actually works?!"

"Maybe Extra wanted to get back at us for all the pranks we played on him." He halfheartedly called over his shoulder, waving a screwdriver in tune with his volume.

"You know he doesn't have it in him." Bluetwo responded, turning the notebook plenty ways 'round, as if there was some hidden picture he was trying to see, "Maybe he wanted to stop us from copying it, just in case?"

"He trusts us too much." In reality, Purpletwo didn't know that for sure. After...their last adventure.. Two had accepted them with open arms, of course he was wary at first, but who could blame the poor fellow from screaming everytime they burst into his room. Everything after wasn't bad either, if anything, Two and Four worked together to prove just how downright stupid it was to distrust them.

Two would embrace them for every little victory they had with the other numbers.

Bluetwo would embrace him right back.

If anything, Bluetwo had taken to the kindness like a fish to water.

Purpletwo never gave Two a reason to think he was mean, there was no way that Two would hide his tracks like this because of them-

"Then why didn't he leave a note or something?"

Purpletwo slammed his hands down on the table in front of him, "He didn't do it because of us! He trusts us, alright!?"

Bluetwo, who probably thought nothing of his outburst, kept on blabbering like it was their fault Two was stranded right now-

"Like, that's the only plausible explanation I can think of."

Purpletwo blinked, "No, no. There's got to be another reason. Extra doesn't think we're evil anymore, remember?"

"Right. Right." Bluetwo yawned, "But there's a chance.."

"There isn't." Purpletwo retorted, "If anything, you don't trust him."

"What?"

"You don't trust him enough to think that we're good."

"Of course I do. It's just that the only reason he'd hide something was if it was a surprise, he didn't want specific people to use his ideas for evil, he was protecting someone from someone else or something, or he just felt plain bad about it."

"Well.." Purpletwo fiddled with a screw, gritting his teeth when the driver slipped, "..If it Sixty-four wanted him to make it, it couldn't have been a surprise..."

"And if he trusts us and all, he couldn't be hiding it from us."

"What about Octonaughty?"

"Okay, that makes more sense.. But why would Octonaughty know he was trying to build a time travel machine?"
