"Dean!"

Castiel began to shake his boyfriend awake. Dean batted Cas's hands away.

Without opening his eyes or facing him, he tiredly muttered "Let me sleep."

"You need to get ready, John wants us to meet him in 5 minutes."

Dean pushed himself to sit up, slightly more awake. "What? 5 minutes!?"

Cas took Dean's arm and pulled him out of bed

---

10 minutes had passed and Cas was hurriedly pulling on his trenchcoat and throwing Dean's red flannel shirt at him. As they were closing the door to their room, the couple heard hurried footsteps approaching them.

"Hey Laf!" Dean called out.

Lafayette was one of their newest, yet closest friends. He transferred to King's College from France less than a year ago, but was already fluent in English.

"What's taking you so long?" He asked them.

"Dean overslept."

He shot Cas a look before turning to Lafayette. "Why'd John want to meet us so early?"

"To tell you that you probably won't see him all day because he has to show some new kid around."

"Is that the smart guy from the Caribbean?"

"Oui, Hercules is walking with him up to the main gate."

They were all silent for a moment, wondering what the new student would be like. "Wanna come with me to get breakfast?"

"What about Cas?"

"I've gotta go meet Gabe, says he has something important to tell me."

"Bet he finally asked out Peggy, surprised he hadn't done sooner."

"Well the stuff with Sammy really messed with him."

Dean's face dropped, trying not to think about the estrangement between him and his younger brother. After a heated argument with their dad, Sam had left during the night. He took one bag and left only the note:

"Gone back to Stanford. Don't follow me."

Sam had completely cut off contact with his family. The only time Dean had managed to get through to him was when their father had died. He returned for the funeral, but left immediately after.

Cas took Dean's hand in his, distracting him from his thoughts. "I've got to go now, see you later."

"Bye." Cas pulled Dean close for a brief kiss before turning down the hall towards his older brother's dorm.

"Coffee at Paine's?"

"Oui."

Paine's was the new café across the street, owned by Thomas Paine and his family. The group used to meet at King's (owned by a guy named George who graduated a few years ago) but there were more drink choices at Paine's. King's seemed to favour tea.

Laf pulled out his phone and messaged for Herc, Aaron, Angelica, Eliza, Peggy, Charlie, and Jo to meet them there.
