Liana's POV

We were walking down the hallway to get to class when the Z-Alarm started to ring. "Okay I know this is scary Bree. "Addison started as we continued to walk. "But there's a zombies safe room right there" I said pointing to the safe room as we turned to look at the completely frightened girl.

"It's gonna be okay" Addison reassured her but instead bree screamed and ran away. "Okay... come on let's go" I told Addie as she looked at me weirdly before we went into the safe room.

"Zombies safe room secure" the female automated voice said. As we walked further in we heard a clank. Like someone ran into something. "Hello?" Addison asked and looked at her with the 'are you serious?!' Because who would say hello in a dark room when you heard something.

"Hello?" Someone said back. It sounded like a guy. "Hello?" I asked back. "Why hello" the guys said back happily. "Don't get any ideas, buster." Addison said "the only thing more deadlier than our high kick is our low kick" I added with a serious tone. "I'm sorry. This just isn't how I was excepting my first day at a new school to go" he said calmly.

"You weren't excepting to be trapped in a zombie safe room?" Addison asked and he chuckled "oh no that I excepted. That happens to me all the time, it's sorta my 'thang'" he said emphasizing thang. We laughed a little.

"So, I'm not gonna get low kicked?" He asked "you're safe" Addison told him. "For now" I added in a little jokingly way. "Good" he sighed as Addison giggled. "Cause todays a big day." He said as we slowly walked closer and closer. "I'm trying out for the football team." He added

"Oh we're all having big days. We're trying out for the cheer squad" Addison told him and he exhaled loudly. "That's a though gig to get"

"Yeah... but we love it. Our parents have had us in cheer camp since forever" she said as we walked closer. "My dad doesn't even think I'm gonna make the team."

"What? No sure you will" she said "yeah. I'm sure you're great at football" I told him reassuringly and Addison nodded. Not like he could see since it was almost pitch black.

"You just need someone to cheer for you. And soon. Fingers crossed, it'll be like our job" Addison said as we stopped in front of each other. "Uh, I'm Zed. What's your names?" He said. "Addison, nice to meet you." She said nicely. " And I'm Liana but you can call me Lia if you want to?" I said and just then the lights turned on.

"Zombie!" She yelled and punched him. "Ouch... that looks like it hurt. "What? Zed, I'm so sorry.. our parents have always taught us that zombies are disgusting, dead-eyed freaks... but.... You're not hideous at all...." She said as she stared up at him smiling. "Thanks? I'll take it" He said not knowing if to take it as a compliment or not.

"You good?" I asked. "Yeah... I think?" He answered and I let out a little laugh. Our parents have always hated zombies since one bit my grandpas eat off." She rambled "but now we'll just talk your ear off" he said with a sweet smile just as the door opened and Bucky and the Aceys walked in.

"There you guys are! We've been looking for you" Bucky said walking up to us and pulling us away as the Aceys ewed when they saw zed. "If you ever touch my cousins again it will not be pretty. Which as you can see is off-brand for me" Bucky said as he placed his hand up and one of the Aceys sprayed hand sanitizer on it.

"To the cheer tryouts. SeaBrook awaits" he said as he grabbed us and started to walk out while looking at zed closely to make sure he stays.
