Adelaide
I run after Levi and follow him to our car. "Hurry up and get in" is all he says. I climb into the passenger seat and before I can even get my seat-buckle clicked in, he peels out of the parking lot. "What the hell's your hurry?" I ask him.
"Who was that guy you were with?" he snaps as he turns and looks at me with disgust written all over his face. Shit.
"Ugh, no-one. I don't know, just some guy from class." I stumble to spit the sentence out.
Levi just looks at me "Don't fucking lie to me Adelaide."
"I'm not lying, I don't know who he was. He just wanted to talk, so we sat down and then you come by."
He looks away from me and we drive home in silence.
As we walk through the door to our house, he grabs my arm and pushes me up against the wall.
"What did I tell you about guys? You aren't supposed to talk to them." He says firmly staring me in the eyes.
"But I'm eighteen now" I whisper.
"Ya, and all guys want to do is fuck. Is that what you want? Is to be used and fucked by guys like a slut?"
"No!" I stammer back to him.
He moves closer to me, too close. I can feel his breath on my face. Suddenly his hand is cupping my crotch. I can feel his fingers as he starts to rub me through my pants. "Is this what you want? You want to be touched by guys so you can feel sexual?"
I squirm at his touch, trying to make it stop. "No, stop it! No, that's not what I want."
"Then smarten the fuck up Adelaide! That's all guys want from girls like you." A devilish smile creeps across his face, and in a split second his arm that still has mine pinned against the wall, squeezes and he snaps my bone.
After he walks away, I run up to my bedroom, lock the door and curl up into a ball on my bed. I silently sob. I hate my brother.
This isn't the first time he's broken one of my bones and it doubtlessly will be the last. As a werewolf we are able to heal quickly, so I know by morning the bone will be fixed. But the bruises, they always last a few days.
And Levi always knows where to break the bones so that the bruises can be hidden by my clothes. I stop crying and roll over and fall asleep for the night. Some birthday that was.

The drive to school the next morning is mute. Levi doesn't look at me or say anything. His face doesn't give anything away. It's like last night never happened. He's never done anything sexual toward me, last night was a first. It's usually just breaking bones.
I look out the window and my mind floats away to how my life has changed. Five years ago, my mother was killed in a pack war. She was one of our packs' strongest female warriors. But we were in a brutal war against a rival pack and a lot of good warriors died, including my mother.
After that, my father decided we should leave the pack. There was always too much fighting when you lived in a pack and he wanted to keep me save. At least that's what he had told me the reason was for us leaving.
He got a job as a professor at the University and we moved into a house near campus.
Shortly after we moved, he met Molly, and it didn't seem like long after that her and Levi moved in with us. At first I was excited, I had never had a sibling before. But it didn't take long before the first time he hit me. He had hit me in the face and cracked my jaw. I had ran to my Dad, and he gave Levi shit. That was the last time he ever hit me somewhere visible, somewhere that couldn't be covered. The very next day, after my jaw had healed, he cornered me in my bedroom and threatened me that if I ever ratted on him again, he would kill me. I never did, instead I just became his punching bag.
