Daryl's POV:

I turned back for a moment, seeing Val storm back inside. I knew that ignoring her, pissed her off but it was for her own good. I could barely even think straight anymore. How could I be a dad and protect my son or daughter if I couldn't even protect Beth. Hell I couldn't even protect the woman I am in love with. But she could. It was all my fault. If I hadn't stopped looking for the damn Governor, we would be safe right now. A place that Val could have had our child, but now that's not how it's going to be.

I made my way over to where Carol and I found a car earlier that day, as noticed there was movement in that direction. And there was Carol, I didn't know what her plan was, but I wasn't going to just let her sneak away. "what are ye doing?" I questioned, scaring her on accident.

"I don't know." She replied. Not long after a car with a cross on the back window, sped past us. I immediately smashed the back lights out with the end of my crossbow. "what are you doing?" Carol questioned me frantic.

"They got Beth!" I exclaimed, immediately heading to the driver's side of the car and hopping in. Carol soon joined me in the car, and we sped off, following after the car. In hopes that I would find Beth, to bring her back to Maggie.

Val's POV:

Daryl hadn't come back yet. Carol and Bob were also missing. Rick, Tyreese, and Sasha went out in search of them. I wanted to go with them, but Rick refused. Saying him nor Daryl would want me going out there. Didn't matter what I had to say in return, he had the final say. They both did.

Sasha came in, marching straight over to Gabriel. "stop." I heard her mutter.

"What are you doing?"

"what are you doing?" She repeated, when Gabriel didn't say a word to her. "this is all connected. You show up. We're being watched and now three of us are gone." Gabriel had a look of shock written all over his face, as he listened to the words that came out of Sasha's mouth. "I-I don't have anything to do with this." He claimed, stepping back slightly from Sasha.

Sasha pulled out her knife from its sheath, not liking what Gabriel had to say. "Sasha, put it away." Tyreese instructed. But she completely ignored him "Who's out there?"

"I... I don't have anything... to do with this." Gabriel stammered.

"Where are our people?" Sasha questioned. "I don't have anything to..."

"Where are our people?" Sasha questioned once again.

"Please, I don't have anything to do with this. I..."

"Why'd you bring us here?" Rick interrogated.

"Please, I..." Gabriel stammered. "You working with someone?"

"I'm alone. I'm alone. I was always alone."

"What about the woman in the food bank, Gabriel? What did you do to her?"

"You'll burn for this."

"That was for you. Why? What are you gonna burn for, Gabriel?" My brother continued to question.

"What?" Rick questioned, grabbing Gabriel by the collar. "Rick." I muttered, sternly. Stepping slowly over to my brother. "What did you do?" He asked Gabriel again, keeping his grip on him. "What did you do?" Rick repeated.

"I lock the doors at night. I always lock the doors at night. I always lock the doors at night. I always..." Gabriel began, finally caving in from the pressure.

"They started coming, my congregation. Atlanta was bombed the night before and they were scared. They were... they were looking for a safe place, a place where they felt safe. And it was so early. It was so early. And the doors were still locked. You see..."
