Demon Slayer: Worlds Collide (Kny and Pokemon Crossover Au)

Chapter 5: The Truth

Rhea leads the boys to her apartment in complete silence. No one said a word, and when they reached the apartment, Rhea starts to tell her story. She told them on how she met Tanjiro, became a demon slayer, their battle against Upper moon 6, and how she ended up here. When she finished, she grabbed a kitchen knife, and made a long cut on her arm. The boys were wondering why she did that, but when they looked closely, they realized the wound healed, with little to no effort. Rhea then started to explain her powers (aka traveling through time by dying, regenerating and healing abilities). After explaining everything, both the boys were shocked, they didn't know someone as kind as her would suffer so much compared to them.

They felt bad and while Rhea looked away, ashamed she kept such secrets from them, they immediately hugged her. She tears up a bit, and when she was back to normal, she decides to return to the Taisho Era, to which both boys want to go to, but she says she will go alone. Both were saddened, but Koko pressured Rhea to at least let him go with her. She agrees, though on one condition for each of the boys: Koko would always be by her side anywhere she went, since she was worried for his safety, and for Ash, if he wants to visit (since Rhea decided that only Koko would go with her), he should text her so that she could track him by scent afterwards.

Koko then decides to ask, out of curiosity, on how Rhea got her healing powers. She explains that it happened when they defeated Upper moon 6, and Tanjiro was dying of the poison Gyutaro infected him with. Rhea said she did not what it was, but a feeling told her to place her hands on Tanjiro's chest, and when she did, she healed him! And she explains that she also needs energy to heal grievous injuries and that she could use it as many times as she wants. This made Koko a bit jealous, but he rubs it of by excitement. They then go to a store to buy some things like a first aid kit, a brown satchel and some dark green sneakers with teal and pink stripes at the bottom with black socks for Koko. He picked them since it reminded him of his dad, and because Rhea says they are going to walk, a lot.

POV Time!

Rhea's POV:

Phew! Now that I told them everything, I feel eased and relaxed, at least I don't have to hide anything from them anymore. I think it's time that I go back home, I bet everyone thought I actually died and had already celebrated my funeral. Well, it's about time I surprise them by rising from my grave hehe.... I will miss this place though, it was so peaceful, and I met a lot of nice people and Pokemon, maybe I'll visit this place time to time, but all I'm excited about is to see them again!

Koko's POV:

Man, those secrets were shocking. After Rhea told us everything, I felt awful that I yelled/angrily confronted her, I did not know she was suffering a lot and was homesick. I should have been more sensitive and caring, but I'm also excited to see the people whose names were on the gifts. I mean, I was wondering what they would look like. Rhea also told me that we are going to Sharon to get our Pokemon, since our cover up story is that we are going on a journey, and I don't mind it, at least I have a Pokemon or two to bring with me.

After shopping, they went to the lab. Sharon introduced them to every starter Pokemon from each region. All of them were amazed that Ash says he wants to pick one too, but the others remind him he already has Pikachu. Sharon told Rhea and Koko that they could only get one Pokemon. After that, they went to try pick a Pokemon thinking, "Which one will be my partner?" Rhea soon notices a Fennekin and comes close to it. She was attracted to its beautiful fur and its fiery personality. She then decides that it will be her partner and Fennekin jumps onto Rhea's shoulder. Koko was having a bit of a harder time to choose his partner, until he found a Rowlet, who saw him and immediately flew onto his head. Koko chuckles, reminding Ash of his Rowlet from Alola, to which he mentions. Koko decides to take Rowlet, partially because it was a Grass type Pokemon, and because he felt a kind of special bond between them.

After that, they say their goodbyes to Ash and venture into the jungle in hopes to find Celebi, The Time Pokemon. They soon run into Koko's dada, and he asks (in Pokemon Language) where they're going. Rhea immediately hides her sword using her haori and Koko says that they are going on a journey. Dada agrees and tells Rhea to protect his son. Rhea, despite not knowing what he said, agrees to protect Koko from any harm. They then leave and soon encounter Celebi and Rhea respectfully asks if Celebi could bring them to the Taisho Era. It says yes, and soon a portal opens up. Both Rhea and Koko enter it and soon wake up in a forest. Rhea realizes that this is the path that leads to the Butterfly Estate. They walk along the path then knock on the door. They were greeted by a surprised Shinobu, and Rhea greets her back by saying "I'm back, Miss Shinobu...."
