Chapter 4: Rhea's New Life

It has been a few months, and Rhea has completely adjusted to her new life. She enjoys it's peacefulness, while for Koko, he has learned how to speak in full sentences and has been helping the town. Ash would visit them time to time, and Rhea was feeling as if this was her happy place all along, but there is something missing: her friends and family. She misses them so much, that she slowly gets quieter and gloomier as time passes. Koko soon notices this and asks her what's going on, but she says she's fine and it's nothing. Koko knows she's lying. 

When it was Tanjiro's birthday, she decided to spend the day alone, going from store to store to find the perfect gifts for her friends and family, finding those that suit them the most. She finally found them and went back home, putting all of them in a box she plans to give to them when and if she returns. She then decides to train herself so that if she returns, she will still be as strong as before, or stronger.

POV Time....

Rhea's POV:

It was happy at first, I enjoyed the food, met new Pokemon and I did all kinds of stuff. However soon, I realized something: I was feeling homesick. I miss all my friends, and I get quiet and sometimes rarely speak at all with just a gloomy expression on my face. Koko could make up for some of the loneliness, but it is not enough. Strangely enough, when he's around, I get butterflies. Which could mean one thing: Am I in love with him?! But, if he finds out the truth, he may hate me, but I'll tell him. Someday....

Soon, Ash came to visit, and they asked if Koko would like to come to Rhea's house since she needs company. They had a lot of fun together, so much so, that Koko almost forgot to ask Rhea what is bothering her. When they decided to go to bed, Koko couldn't fall asleep and wanted to know more about Rhea, so when both Rhea and Ash were asleep, Koko got up and searched around her apartment, and soon found a box underneath her bed. Curious, he decided to open it up....

Koko's POV:

Rhea was acting strange, and I wanted to know why. So I went around her room, trying to find something, when I saw a box underneath her bed. I was curious so I decided to open it, and I found her clothes from when I met her. It was nostalgic, until I found a bunch of items in the box with names like "Tanjiro", "Nezuko", "Kanao", and many more. I could tell she knew who they were and missed them. However, soon I noticed something on the back of her uniform, I saw the word "Destroy" on the back, and I was scared, was she a killer, or someone who hurts Pokemon? I don't wanna know but knowing her, she would never do such a thing, right? I then put the things back in the box, sprayed alcohol (hand sanitizer), and went back to sleep. I will confront it to her, someday.

That same night however, a portal opened up, and a hungry demon came out of it. He then saw a drunk couple and decided to kill them, leaving them dismembered and in a pool of blood. A woman found their bodies the next day, and screamed so loudly that everyone in town woke, even the kids. When they all arrived, they were horrified. Parents covered their children's eyes, and the others were disturbed and distraught. When Rhea, Koko and Ash arrive at the scene, the two boys were horrified, disgusted and distraught. However, they soon notice Rhea has the opposite reaction: she was instead sad and solemn, she also has a neutral face when she stared at the scene, as if this was normal for her. Koko then asks if this is normal for her, to which she replies with "sort of". When the ambulance came, Rhea asks if she can inspect the bodies, but they refuse (because she's a minor), leaving the pool of blood after taking a sample.

After everyone left, Rhea came close to the blood, and when she sniffed it, she was shaking and trembling, with dread and horror on her face: a demon was here. She soon calmed down, told the boys to go to the jungle and stay there for a while and left without a goodbye or a single word. The boys know she is hiding something by now and after Koko tells Ash about what he found, they decide to follow Rhea.

It was nighttime and both of them sneak out of the jungle and followed Rhea, who's wearing her demon slayer uniform and haori. They see her standing cautiously in the middle of town, and soon, they all hear a scream coming from someone's home. All of them rush there immediately (Rhea doesn't notice them), and Rhea kicks down the door, revealing the demon, holding a lady and one of his fingernails piercing her stomach. The boys hide behind a building watch everything happen. The demon exits the house, destroying it and almost slices Rhea's arm. She luckily dodges it, and the demon soon notices the boys behind her and tries to kill them, but Rhea blocks the attack. The ruckus wakes people up and sees what's going on. The demon charges at Rhea and she ends up cutting some limbs, which makes the crowd and the boys disturbed since she just severed someone's limbs, but what surprised them the most is that the demon could regenerate. The people's faces of terror make the demon happy because he loves people fearing him, as it gives him glory, which distracted him and gave Rhea the opportunity to behead him. After she did, the crowd was praising her, and the woman was treated. Rhea then goes to Koko and Ash, scolding and reprimanding them for what they did, saying that they could've been killed. Both of them then confront her on what is her secret and reveal that they know the "Destroy" on the back of her uniform. She then scolds them for snooping through her stuff but the boys' pressure of knowing her secret made her feel cornered and guilty, so she reluctantly agrees and says she will tell the truth....
