Chapter 2

On the Sixth day of June in sixteen-fifty-six, there was this deficient village called Myerna. This village is highly guarded by the Queen's guards, and they are not allowing any people to leave this land.
One day there was a major rally taking place at the village gates because people wanted to leave and find some resources to help them survive but the cruel gatekeepers were not letting anyone. People are shoving each other toward the gateway. The guards are so furious, that they can't handle these people.
So they penetrate and slaughter everyone who arrives near the gates. Until people move backward away from the admission, but never stop shouting and mobilizing.
While everyone is yelling for freedom and bonding with each other. There was this lady with dirty blonde hair, wearing off white dress who was shoving everyone to make her way so she could be able to reach the front.
When she managed to get in front, she asked the guard if he wanted to relax for a moment. The guard was tempted by her beauty, but the guard denied it. The lady spoke out that she could help him relieve tension, and the gatekeepers let her move forward knowing that she might be a prostitute. The guard takes her to the guard house that connects inside and outside the gate.
The guard sat down on the chair and suggested the lady do her best to make him soften. The girl begins dancing while the guard is swallowing too much beverage.
The girl goes behind the chair and starts to massage the shoulders of the almost drunk security while still dancing. From the shoulders, she goes up to the head and starts massaging. The guard loved it and started to feel peace.
Until the girl put her left hand on the right side of the face while the other hand was on the left side of the head, and snapped his neck which caused him to die.
The girl immediately took the white long-sleeve, tight pants, and the boots of the warden and changed them with her dress. She also grabbed the bow and arrow in the corner.

Time all the guards are busy on the other side because of the nonstop rallying of the people. The girl took this opportunity to escape. She tied her hair and took the gatekeeper's horse off the fence, and charged it as fast as she could.
A couple of minutes later, the other warden noticed that a long time had passed when the other guard rested, so he went to the guard house to look for him.
When he arrived he saw his mate, blood running down from his nose and dead naked. He instantly ran out and told others what he caught up.
They suspect that the girl did that brutal thing to their colleague. But how could the girl do that?

Twelve days of June in sixteen- fifty- six. While the girl was traveling with her horse, she saw a person leaning down on the ground. Out of curiosity, she goes toward this person, but when she looks back, the person is gone.
She stops at the spot where she sees the person. She was about to look behind the tree when someone jumped out and shot an arrow at her. Luckily she catches it with her bare hand and for defense, she charges it at her bow.
She retaliates a shot but the stranger shoots an arrow back. She thought it was a guard so she decided to put an end to it if the person came out.
"Die!!! Knight of the Evil Queen!!!" she screamed with anger.
She is ready to let go of a string but the Person shouts a few words.
"No No no wait Stop!!" the person came out and said. "I'm not a queen's guard! Ok uh, my name is Hope I'm not an evil person, I'm a friend, like you I hate the Queen, for she is the reason why my town is suffering," Hope says with a scared voice.
"Then why'd you try to kill me?" She said.
"About that, I'm sorry. I thought you were one of the guards, so I instantly hid and attacked you" Hope said.
After all of the explaining, she eventually forgives Hope.
Hope wonders how she gets a horse if according to the rules, only men can able to ride them. She tells everything she went through, how did she escape their village, and how did she take the horse.
After telling each other's life stories, Hope asks where she's going, and if she can come with her.
The girl says that she is planning to go to a wealthy town in the West called San. Diego was named after their kind but mean leader, Diego Marquez. There they might find some resources to help them in their journeys.
The girl suggests Hope climb in the back of the horse so they can travel faster.           Hope instantly climbs up, and it is her first time riding a horse.
"Wait what is your name again?" Hope asked. "I did not ask you about your name earlier, so"
          "My name's Lynn" She replied.
Lynn eventually starts to make the horse run so they can reach the town early. The town is an hour distant from where they came from, so they have to reach the place before dusk. It's also dangerous to travel in the dark since wolves and other wild animals usually hunt during the night.

On the road heading to the west, Percy and Jake are walking with their bags and the swords they stole. While walking Percy asks something to Jake.
"Can I ask a question, Jake?" Percy said.
"Sure, what is it?" Jake replied.
"Did my father say something to you before the attack?" Percy asks with a melancholy tone.
"Um, there's one thing he said to me when he was sick," Jake said. "He requests that when the time comes he's gone I'll promise that no matter what happened I will look after you. That's why when the attack happened I came back to the village to save you, but then, you accidentally bumped into me, but you instantly ran away."
Percy put his hand on Jake's shoulder and bid him thank you. The time they are having a moment they hear a running horse in the distance behind them, Jake quickly grabs Percy and hides behind the tree. After the horse passed them, Percy did not see who was riding the horse, but he saw two people riding it.
After a couple of minutes of walking, they saw a sign saying, "This way to San. Diego". Percy never heard anything about this town but Jake remembered something he heard from their neighbors stating that this is one of the wealthy towns in the West, but there is a rumor that the captain of this town heard to be one of the followers of the evil queen. That is why the town is wealthy, so they decided to visit this town.
In the distance, there is an outpost with four guards. While arriving, Percy and Jake notice that these guards are drunk.
"They're drunk," Jake said. "In the middle of the day?"
Percy laughed after Jake said that. While getting closer the guards saw them, so they blocked them without any reason. The guards said you are not welcome to pass through, with a drunk, funny voice. Jake and Percy laughed so hard that they couldn't control it. The drunk guards got upset so they pulled out their swords and pointed them at them.
Percy and Jake got tested so they also grabbed their swords from their back. After they do that, the guards start to attack them one by one. Luckily both of them know how to defend against every attack.
While they are fighting, someone who is riding a horse interrupts them and fights the drunk guards.
"Hop in," the guy said. "Come on hurry up"
Jake and Percy immediately climb up, and the guy makes the horse run fast. The guy looked kind and friendly, he had curly bushy hair with a white cloth around his forehead, and not like them the guy had dark chocolate skin and was quite tall.
As they flee out of the woods, Jake asks the guy what's his name, but the guy does not answer his question. Then the guy asked.
"What you two doing wondering in this roads, especially for some guys like you?" the guy said.
"We just want to enter the town but the guards stopped us," Percy replied.
The guy thinks for a moment that maybe he could help them enter.
"Well you're lucky," the guy said. "I live there with my brother."
Jake and Percy were so happy that someone would help them. As they are arriving they can already see the high beautiful gates of the San. Diego is highly guarded by the wardens.
The guy greets the guards before entering, to show them respect. Percy and Jake were so amazed for the people of this town were happy and looked like no problems bothered them.
"The captain of this town is very kind to his people," Jake said. "I mean look at them, they are not suffering like other towns we've been through."
"We all just happy outside," the guy said. "You don't know the real identity of the old captain."
Jake and Percy looked at each other with confusion.
