today was the day, it was finally tanners twenty-third birthday, we all agreed to have a small surprise party. nick took tanner to the gym this morning and once the two had come back, i had left. nick and larry had gone to party city to get some decoration's while i was on my way to get a cake. i already had the perfect gift for tanner, i just couldn't give it to him in front of the guys so i better pick another one out while i'm out.
tanner and i met on discord, i always thought he was funny, handsome and genuinely sweet when he wants to be. he was always there to cheer me up when times were tough and i knew i had to get him something special in return. after a few nights of knowing each other we had bonded over music tastes. eventually he told me how badly he wanted to see paramore. they finally have gone on tour again and i of course bought tickets for me and him.
while i was on my way to buy tanners cake i drove past a small mart that had cute stuff in it, i decided to quickly stop in for something. i picked out a keychain with gudetama on it and also a cute plushie he could display on his shelf. i put on music on the bluetooth and drove to a grocery store to get a cake and candles, while im on my way nick messages and tells me what flavour and what to write on it.
i go in and pick out a light green vanilla cake and got the workers to write "happy 57th birthday T!" per nicks request. i grab some sweets and a gift bag, taking a picture of the cake and sending it to nick before quickly putting tanners gift in the bag, with everything on my end ready i head home.
5:26 pm
once the larry, nick and i were done with the decorations we get ready for dinner and quickly make our way to the restaurant that everyone else was already at.

tanner immediately spotted us and got up to hug each of us, once he got to me i blush a little as he wraps his muscular arms tightly around me.
"happy birthday t" i whisper to him while hugging him tightly
"thank you n/n" he whispers back before pulling away from the hug that lasted maybe a little too long
i quickly say hello to everyone and sit across from tanner, we all order our drinks and enjoy one another's company.

y/n is so special to me, we've been friends for years but ever since we all moved in together i felt certain feelings begin to develop. i always wanted to be around her, when we weren't near each other i would constantly think about her. her smile, her eyes, her laugh or her jokes, just thinking about her would make me smile to myself. and tonight was the night i plan on telling her how i fe-
"hey tanner you alright?" larry interrupts my train of thoughts
"huh? oh yeah i'm just thinking" i smile brightly at larry
"about?" he questions
i quickly make sure y/n's not paying attention to us "i think i'm gonna tell y/n how i feel tonight.."
"yes! finally oh my god" larry whisper shouts which catches her attention

once we got home nick filmed some content like the piñata being absolutely destroyed by tanner and same with captain america, after all of that mess we sat in the loft. i gave tanner his not-so-special gifts, regardless of how boring it was he still appreciated it.
"awh this is cute! thank you y/n" he smiled brightly and looked at the plushie
"of course T" i giggle at his excitement over the keychain with a butt on it
"oh shit the cake" nick reminds himself
"i got it! isaac find some candles, nick come with me" larry nudges the other two to leave the room, they of course oblige leaving me and tanner alone
"hey-" we both cut each other off
"you go first" tanner smiles
"so i actually got you another gift, one more important than an egg with a ass" he laughs lightly "give me one second"
i quickly get up and run to my room and get the tickets that were inside a homemade card, tanner sat on a beanbag chair smiling
"okay so i know that a few years ago you told me how much you wanted to see paramore" i say handing him the card
he looks shocked as he begins to open it "holy fuck! really?" he holds the tickets
i smile and nod excitedly "theres two tickets for you and another person!"
"y/n holy shit i don't even know what to say" he stood up and gave me a tight hug
i laughed and hugged him back "i hope you had a good birthday t" i say "oh right were you gonna say something?"
"oh shit yeah, uhm maybe we should talk somewhere else" he takes ahold of my hand which makes me blush and we walk to his room
"y/n, i've been trying to figure out how to say this for so long but i can never figure out how to say it.. y/n i like you more than friends and i understand if you don't like me ba-"
"tanner i like you too" i cut him off "all these years you've been there for me, i just didn't know if you felt the same"
"can i kiss you..?" tanner asks lowly
i nod slowly before he leans in and places a gentle but overdue kiss on my lips, he smiles lightly as he pulls away. tanner and i laugh lightly, before exchanging another quick peck.
"i love you y/n, paramore is gonna be fucking great with you" he smiles
"i love you too, happy birthday tanner" we lay down in his bed, my head on his chest and his arms around me.
