Jared POV

Mr. Asshole was yelling at me again to stop sleeping. Little did he know I wasn't asleep, I was hiding what my mom did to me last night.

I lifted my head but kept my hood on not wanting anyone to see my eye.

Mr. Ass started talking again, "Today we are going to talk about the civil war reenactment, you will be getting a partner, and they will be your partner in war."

Oh great, I hate everyone in this class. For some reason part of me wanted to get the new kid, the other part of me was terrified to. Why is this happening to me? Get out of my head Cody.

After he talked about the was thing, I zoned out, wanting to get to my next class with Antigone, my girlfriend.    lplayer65 She is so pretty and also badass.

My thoughts were interrupted by the bell, time for English.

"Jared, wait" said a voice from behind me. It was the new kid, the one who took my seat. Cody. I tried to hide my shock with a glare.

"What do you want, Sparkles?" I asked a little harsher than I meant to.

"Do you want to meet at my place for the assignment?" He said looking completely unfazed by my tone of voice.

"Yeah sure, I'll meet you in the parking lot after school." I said trying to cover up the fact that I had no idea what the assignment was.

Cody's POV

I walked to my next class wondering why Jared was in such a hurry to get to his next class. Then I saw why, I walked into English and found him kissing some girl on a desk. So this is what would happen if he wasn't gay, I thought to myself.

I found my way to the back of the classroom, where I sat during the last class. Soon Jared and what's her face made their way to the back, too. There goes my chance of staring at him during class. Stupid girl.

"Hi, your new right?" said a voice to my left. It was the hottie hogger.

"Year I am" I said back trying to be polite.

"Well my name is Antigone, Now you have a friend at this school, by the way if your mean to me or any of my friends, there will be one less sparkly bitch at this school. Got it?"

"Yeah" I said, a little afraid.

"Good, then I'm sure we can be awesome friends." she said smiling.

During all of the Jared was watching with an amused look on his face. Does she do this a lot? I wonder to my self.

"Everyone can I have your attention please." said Mrs. Hoffman the English teacher, "Today you will be working in groups of three and discuss a book that you have been reading. Cody, it can be any book that you have read before, we do this about ever other week so you might want to get used to it now." She smiled in my direction before talking again. "Everyone get in your groups and begin."

I felt someone tugging on my arm, no doubt that it was Antigone, I turned around.

"Come on, your with us Sparkles." She said still pulling towards them. "You can go first to get it over with."

"Yeah, okay. I just finished reading 'The Mortal Instruments City of Heavenly Fire' it is the sixth book in the series so all I'm saying about it is, Malec forever."

Antigone and Jared both had confused looks on their faces. "Well okay then. I have read nothing and you will deal with it, okay, Jared the bookworm is next."

Bookworm? That's what I was called at my old school, the faggot bookworm.

"Okay, I read 'the forest of hands and teeth'. It is about when the apocalypse happens, this girl and some of her friends go into the forest trying to escape their town which was filled with zombies. And they try to find a new place to live before they get captured and turned by the zombies."

"Sounds like a book that you would read." Antigone said, acting like she didn't care about the book or any book.

"What do you mean? That book sounds awesome." I tell her, hoping that she doesn't see what the question actually meant.

"Well Jared almost always reads books with some action with a girl as the main character." Antigone said, looking at me.

"So do I, its not a big deal, its just a preference in books." I said, trying not to sound to defensive while I talked.

"Okay, maybe you two should give each other suggestions on some good books to read. Well books you think are good, I only like manga and fan fiction." She said with a big smile.
