Jared POV
"Come on we're going to my place I have a spare room you can use." Cody said as he pulled on my arm. Thankful for the change of subject (kind of) I fallowed behind him quietly. We made our way to his car and once again the radio was switched to the rock station. Not that I minded, this is my favorite station. On the way to his place I found myself singing along to some of the songs.
As we pulled into the driveway Cody pulled the out the key, killing the engine. I opened the door and started walking up the steps behind Cody. He slid the key into the lock and turned it. When the door opened he motioned me inside.
I went inside and sat on the couch in front of the TV. Cody walked into a different room and came back out a few minutes later holding two plates of pie.
"Do you want Chocolate or key lime pie?" He asked me casually.
"Key lime please." I replied, thankful for the delicious distraction. Also because all that I ate today was an apple a couple bites of food at lunch. I bit into the pie and Holy Heavens! So good.
"Like it? I made it yesterday." Cody said, breaking the silence.
"You made this?" I asked, clearly surprised. "It's amazing."
"Glad you like it." He said with a smile. We didn't talk again Until we finished eating the amazing pie. Cody said, " Come on I will show you were everything is."
I fallowed him into the hall as he opened a door to a bedroom. The walls were dark blue that matched the bed. On the wall opposite of which we came in was two more doors. One of them was already opened. Inside was a closet with a TON of cloths. Cody walked to the other door and opened it. Inside was a bathroom.
"I'll grab you some clothes to sleep in I might have something more you than most of my clothes." He said as he walked away from the bathroom door and towards the closet. After a few moments of him shuffling thru his clothes He bulled out a dark blue t shirt and a pair of black sweats. "This good?"
"Yeah that's fine. Thanks for letting me crash here."
"Any time" He said throwing the clothes at my face.
CODY POV
As I tossed the clothes to him he looked grateful, when I first saw him he looked like he could have been the school bully, but now not so much. I went into the other bedroom and changed into my neon green pajamas. I got into bed after setting my alarm. It was hard trying to fall asleep knowing someone was in the room next to me.

I awoke to the sounds of muffles screams coming from the room Jared was using. I looked over at my clock it showed 2:48. I got out of bed to see what was going on. When I opened the door I saw Jared thrashing around and screaming in his sleep.
I rushed to his bed shaking him until he awoke. His eyes opened and were full of pain and terror and fear.
"What happened?" I asked trying not to sound to worried.
"Nothing just a nightmare. Thanks for waking me." He replied.
"Come on" I said as I grabbed his hand and pulled him to my room. I give up on trying to hide that I like him.
"Why?" he said
"Because, I have dealt with kids having nightmares and waking me from it, my little siblings and cousins. Best way to make them go away is to have someone with you when you fall back asleep."
"But I don't want to back asleep yet." He said sheepishly.
"OKAY let's talk? " I suggested.
"No, I want to lay in bad not talking not sleeping, nothing." Ha said quietly sitting on the far end of my bed.
"Okay." I lifted my blankets and motioned him to get in, he hesitated. "Don't worry I won't bite." After that he smirked and got under the blanket without another word.
After turning off the light I joined him under the blanket. I turned my head so that I was looking at him, he looked like a train wreck.
"You okay? " I asked.
"Fine." He whispered. He turned to face me, our faces were inches apart, his green eyes looking in to mine. The space between us was killing me. Him being so close to me bit so far at the same time, so I ended it.
I pressed my lips against his, catching him off guard I pulled him closer to me. After a few moments he started kissing me back. Holy crap he was a good kisser.
