Athena
"Are you feeling ready Harry?" I asked him. The time drew nearer to the start of the third task. I was shaking with anticipation, not knowing what to expect. He was nervous, but with his previous victories of the last tasks, his nerves were improving. I cupped his cheek in my hand and pulled him into a hug. I held him there for a moment, scared I might not get many more. I gave him a kiss on the forehead as we parted ways.
"As I'll ever be," he smiled. "I guess we'll know for sure next week." He told me. I pushed the hair from his forehead as I stood before him.
"I want you in one piece by the end of this." I smiled. "If you need any more help with charms, you know where to find me." I reminded. I had just finished helping him practice in one of the vacant classrooms. I taught him as much as I knew in hopes it would help him. After hours of teaching, we decided it was enough for the day.
"Thank you, Athena." He hauled me into another embrace.
"As much as I'd love to stay and chat, it looks like Fred's getting a little impatient." I smiled and pointed to my boyfriend. He was waiting for me by the inside of the portrait of the fat lady. His toes were tapping against the ground in anticipation. I found it his dwindling patience amusing.
"Alright, see you later." He smiled and waved as I left. I passed Ginny as I walked, making another detour to go and talk to her.
"Hey, Gin." I smiled. I figured I could really get on Fred's nerves. He had been in a pranking mood lately, and I figured I could get a little revenge.
"Hey. Are you trying to annoy Fred again?" She asked. With a small nod, I smiled. "It's definitely working." She complimented. I was doing everyone a favour, pissing him off. He was getting on everybody's nerves lately, and getting him back was justice.
"You know me so well." I laughed. I stood and talked to her for a few minutes before Fred stormed over, exasperated. I barely gave him a sideways glance.
"Would you care to join me, or not?" He exclaimed, cutting our conversation short. I turned my head towards him, finally breaking my focus from Ginny.
"I'd love to, but I'm in the middle of a wonderful conversation with your sister." I teased.
"Oh come on, you were the one who wanted to go in the first place." He whined, grabbing my hand. "She'll be here when we get back." He pulled me away.
"Bye, Ginny." I smiled as he pulled me away. I let him lead me out of the common room. "You know I love you." I said, reaching up and brushing my thumb over his cheek.
"Sure." He muttered, dragging me down the hallway.
"Oh come on," I rolled my eyes, making him stop. I turned him around and stood on my tippy toes, pulling him into a kiss. "I didn't want to make you angry."
"You're almost too short to reach, now." He teased. I smacked him on the chest.
"That's rude, Mr. Weasley." He laughed and pulled me into a hug, and I pulled him closer to me. I held him there for a moment, basking in the comfort. He placed his lips against my forehead.
"I love you." He mumbled against my hairline.
"I love you too." I said, holding the position.
"Look! There's the biggest blood traitors in the castle, Hogwart's finest couple!" I heard a voice ring from behind us. I parted with Fred to see Draco and his band of goons approaching.
"Oh shove it, Malfoy." I spat.
"I'm just saying, you guys are the perfect couple! Fit right in with each other, dont you? A bunch of muggle-lovers." He spat. "One with a criminal daddy, and one with parents too poor to buy him new robes."
