“Mom I'm home from my first day of school. It was  great we did so much" Lindsey said skipping into the kitchen. She found her mum lying on the couch staring at the TV " mom!? How long are you going to be like this you said one we moved away we'd start a new chapter in our lives! But all I see is a sleepy mom lying on the couch binge watching love island!" The mom looked back at her and said in a grumpy tone “You know..your very clever for a 9 year old. You should be a life coach when your older!! I'd bet you'd make a lot of money!". Lindsey ran over and sat beside her opening a pop tart packet “ Mom working isn't about the money and I know we need money right now really badly ever since we left dad but ..er...but we left London! You now have a chance to start new we are literally surviving off of pop tarts!! And microwave dinners, and trust me I know it's disappointing for us living like this when just about a month ago we lived in London with all my friends and we had a private chef and maids and...and-"
Her mum was crying her eyes out “Lindsey I'm so so sorry you had to go through this, but I couldn't survive with your dad anymore making money off of other people's ideas and getting drunk every night and being out doing god knows what every single day but I promise you Lin that I'm going to find a nice job and we're going to go on holidays every summer and move out of this flat. It's just about time, we don't have a lot of time before they kick us out of  this flat because I can't afford rent. But remember this..the only way to go when you hit rock bottom is up". Lindsey smiled at this as she remembered her dad said that once before he went weird, he was trying to get a company to buy his new technology thing and they said no and that it was a terrible idea he felt sad they rejected the idea but he said that the only way to go when you hit rock bottom is up, and he was right, after that he worked a little more on it and thousands of companies around the world were bidding on it, he worked so hard on everything after  that and managed to make iPhones at one stage but after a while he got bored, he was bored of the same thing everyday, life was great and all but he started to feel sad and that's when everything started sliding back down to rock bottom. Lindsey still remembered the day her and her mum had walked out on him at 2 in the morning. He had come home and my mum took one look at him and knew she couldn't live like this, the beautiful new expensive suit he had bought was wrecked sauces spilt all over it and he smelled like he had drank everything in the bar...he stripped and dumped his suit on top of her mum and yelled " Wash that, lady" and  went to bed, she woke Lindsey up and they got in the car and drove to her grannies house where they slept there for a week. It was a scary time and she didn't know if she was going to see her dad again. But her mum said it was best if they didn't meet.
“Ok mum, go on to one of those websites right now and pick one you like your qualified for nothing but you can work as a cashier or maybe in a pizza place or something..yum" Lindsey said, her mouth ful of pop tart. Her mum agreed and the next day they found the perfect place, a Zara had  opened up nearby and were hiring, Zara was very popular because there wasn't another Zara for miles around so she got payed very well. Everything was good when Lindsey was a kid.
