“Ok” Becky began “ So all we know about this person who commented that link is probably someone you know or knew or this person got it from someone you know or knew.”.It was finally Friday and they were talking about this while walking home from school to get a head start on weekend homework. They thought about this now , there were so many people it could be how were they supposed to find it out? Just as they were thinking Lindsey's phone rang, and in a deep voice someone said “ If you want to know who posted that link meet me on Monday at 8 sharp, by the bins behind your school" then they hung up. Lindsey didn't know what to do, Becky just looked a bit startled, that voice didn't sound like a teenager at all. What were they supposed to do?
On Monday Lindsey went alone behind the bins, her phone was in her pocket recording just in case this guy said anything she could turn into the police. When she got there no one was there except a girl sitting in the corner smirking at her “Remeber me?” the girl said loudly, Lindsey didn't know what to do, it was the girl from her class when she first joined, the girl who was standing in the corner...the girl who she had been best friends with for all of primary school... Lindsey took a breath “What's happening... Why are you doing this to me, I didn't do anything wrong,”.
“the reason this is happening because I was literally your best friend for all of primary school until we graduated and you just ditched me!! You told me everything about your dad and mum and the TRUTH. I thought we were inseparable? Why did you just push me away when we went into high school and you got internet famous? You got your dream but I never got mine.”.
“I-I-I'm sorry I didn't realise that you felt that way...”. Lindsey took a look at Emily she had really changed and was wearing designer clothes and shoes, she looked really pretty as well her once hazel brown hair and gone a light blonde from the sun and her eyes were a beautiful ocean blue. Lindsey knew that this was a big mistake she had made and she needed to fix it.“ Emily, the reason I pushed you away in high school is because you were like my sister and I wanted more friends and when I met Becky..I just felt fresh, like I had a new person to spend time with”, Emily looked at her in confusion “But you had me? You had me to spend time with!”
“No maybe thats what you think but I never could... because you joined so many clubs and you fit in perfectly in the school and you had so many instant friends to talk to, but you were the only person I could talk to, So when I met Becky, it made everything better and when I got famous all these girls knew me and talked to me but even though they “knew” me they didn't actually know me. You probably don't have a clue what I'm talking about but just understand that I'm so sorry.”
Then Lindsey walked off, sad and disappointed in herself for being such a idiot to forget her only friend. Emily sighed and a tear rolled down her face “ I joined so many clubs so that I could use friends and practice to distract myself from this nervous feeling I constantly had about failing all my classes and getting bad school report cards. I really needed someone to share secrets with and pull all nighters with..but you always had plans when I invited you over and after a while, I just stopped trying.”. A dead silence fell upon them until it was broken with the 3 words they needed to say to make everything better for them “ I missed you ”, then they hugged and arranged somewhere to meet after school and ran off to there first class of the day.
