5 Years Later

Lindsey yawns as she wakes up and looks at herself in the mirror, her phone dinging constantly. “Well" she said to herself “I can't keep my 900k followers waiting". Quickly she went to her dressing table and did her make up and did her hair into two neat morning hair plaits, then she got back into bed and started filming “ *Yawn* Hey guys I just woke up how are you all today, happy Saturday! So as y'all know I'm at 900k followers but I really want to hit the 1M mark! So please if you haven't already followed follow! I'm so close and as you know as soon as I hit the 1M I'm straight away going to give away a new iPhone 14 pro to a lucky follower! So all of you stay pretty,cute and perfect! bye my lovelies!" As she finished her live she had a glance at all the comments, they all read, ' Just followed, love your content!' ,  'Wow you so pretty even when you just woke up!'. But she started to scroll down more but and some of them were not good like this ' How does everyone believe this pathetic fake! She obviously just got out of bed and did her hair and makeup! ' and 'Hahahahaha her face actually makes me laugh, she looks so stupid with all that makeup on and her voice is so annoying and squeaky ' and  ' I bet once you reach the 1M everyone will unfollow you because everyone's just in it for the giveaway! Good luck but by the end of this you'll be lucky if you even have 100k!'. Lindsey didn't care about the comments, she knew deep down that this wasn't her though, these designer clothes and saying 'y'all' all the time and people were starting to realise it, sooner or later someone was going to comment saying something about how they noticed her bedroom isn't as big and dreamy as other influencers bedrooms, but she couldn't let that happen she just had to keep smiling and posting and hopefully people with fall under the illusion that she's perfect and has a perfect life and a perfect family.It couldn't be that hard... could it?
    She walked downstairs to see her mum, staring at the table " Mis Lindsey Valerie Roberts!!! Where is my electrical bill and water bill??". Lindsey hesitated before saying "I honestly don't know what you're talking about." And continued on making her Coco pops, "Don't lie to me." Said her mum "I know you think you're helping me by paying the bill but you're not, save your money and use it for something that feels important to you when you're a older." Lindsey sighed, she was right but her mum was struggling with everything and she had all of this money from social media that she receives from sponsorships and YouTube payments, she didn't understand it " Mum I know but this is important and I'm older now, I'm 17 years old, and I got my payment last week and it was a lot of money, a lot more money then I actually need. I saw the bill on the table and it was a perfect opportunity for me to help you.".
   "Where did I get such a thoughtful daughter from!" Exclaimed her mum and hugged her tight, the kind of hugs she used to give her when her dad was so drunk that he scared Lindsey. Lindsey said "Mum I obviously get it from you, you are the best mum ever and you work so hard!". They hugged for a while until her mum said " I'd hug you all day if I could but I need to go to work. Also I think they have a really pretty top that has some threads loose and they have to throw it out so I'll bring it home and you see if you like it!". Lindsey smiled " Thanks mum I'll see you later.".
   Lindsey went upstairs with her Coco pops and started filming " Hey y'all!! I just remembered that I have a photo shoot today for the brand Gym+Coffee so todays blog is everything about it so let's go!". She had a lot of fun at the photo shoot and everyone was really nice, she also got to keep every piece of clothing she wore and some more that was left over. It was a great day but on her way home things took a bad turn, she went to MacDonalds for a Big Mac to celebrate the photo shoot going so well and behind her in the drive through there was a guy who took a picture of her and her car and said " Guys look at Lindsey Roberts car..it's kind of sad that that's the car she drives especially since her dad's a millionaire and everything".
   That post went viral and everyone started questioning if she was as amazing as she claimed to be.
