sapnap thinks it's laughable, how punz tried to convince him and dream that he was 'not having a party,' and that it was more of a 'large gathering,' yet here they are, hardly able to move around the blonde's house as they try and navigate their way through the rooms.

what's funnier, is that the 'gathering' wasn't even full of content creators, rather it was friends from college and the surrounding area, and dream and sapnap just happened to be invited since they lived nearby. they hadn't even seen the blond since he greeted them upon entry, and it's been hours since then.

the ravenette makes a mental reminder not to trust punz's perceptions of group sizes. he makes another reminder to never attend a 'party' of punz's, because if this isn't a party, he'd be horrified to see what was. clearly, punz's expectations are a lot bigger and bolder than his.

currently, the pair are sitting on a couch, which they'd had to wait almost thirty minutes to get a space on since every time one person stood up another was quick to sit down.

dream wasn't drunk, because he had to drive them to and from the party, but he had been drinking, especially closer to the start of the night, and it's more than obvious that he's still riding the edge of tipsy, a weirdly giddy smile on his features even though nothing particularly amusing is going on around them. sapnap's got an empty bottle in hand and, upon second glance, he notices that dream's is empty too.

"we both need new drinks," he points out, moving his bottle over slightly to clink the neck against dream's, creating a satisfying glassy sound.

"i probably shouldn't have anymore," dream says with a laugh, moving his bottle to sit on the small table beside them. he takes sapnap's bottle too, discarding it next to his own. "i'll go and get you one, though," he offers, getting up from his place on the couch with an exaggerated groan, as if the movement caused him great strain.

sapnap playfully rolls his eyes at the blonde, watching with a fond smile as he arches his back to click the tense joints there. they hadn't even been sitting around for long, maybe forty minutes max, and even then dream had gotten up at one point to go to the bathroom.

the blond turns back to sapnap, looking down at the boy and asking, "what drink do you want?"

sapnap hums in thought, trying to remember what options were there before having a realisation and asking, "wait, why are you getting me a drink?" sapnap squints suspiciously at his friend, tilting his head to the side ever so slightly, "you're being too nice."

"i'm just tryna' help you loosen up," dream says, wording it like normal but quite clearly trying to hint at a suggestive undertone as he smirks ever so slightly down at his friend.

sapnap is glad that, since they slept together, their relationship isn't ruined. in fact, it's practically exactly the same, the only difference being that dream makes so many more sexual jokes now. sometimes sapnap thinks he's hinting at his hopes to hook up again, but the ravenette knows that isn't the best idea. his attachment to the blond has already grown tenfold since the last time, and he was so relieved that the sex didn't ruin their friendship that he is terrified to risk that again.
