Everyone made it up to the front yard of the huge mansion, it was weathered and tainted in darkness the very air was like a dense musky fog that seemed to linger around the old house. Daniel checked out the style of the home trying to figure out its age by the way it was designed, but after a long time studying he couldn't decide if it was built in the early 40s or late 50s. Criss wrapped around Kacie and asked if it was important on how old it was, that all we wanted was to get dry and warm, and since they all voted him out of NOT going into the building, now wasn't the time to worry about ancient ghosts that possibly dwelled within its walls.

Abby rolled her eyes and sarcastically said she thought he didn't believe in the afterlife and supernatural bullshit, and he was the only one bringing it up. I popped her on the head and quickly told her to stifle it, and not to start shit she couldn't finish. Sully grabbed Sandy and told us all that he was tired of standing out in the cold wind and torrential rain that was nonstop falling on us like a waterfall. Mickey and Mark hopped on the porch first and tested the boards to show them it was safe to walk on. Rachel and Missy slowly stepped up and joined them, followed by Abby, Daniel, and Megan. The other small group of people that joined us didn't bother to wait for us at all, they walked through the doors without a care in the world, other than getting dry and warmed up after they found the right materials to start a fire with. (Seth, Kyle, Cathy, Rosie, and Tommy.)

Criss, Kacie, and I were the last ones to enter the old house, once we were in, the door blew shut as if letting us all know we were expected & that it had been waiting a long time for us to get there. Naturally, after any door slams shut with no wind stirring, Mark ran to the door trying to open it, but he said it was like the door had been set in concrete, and the doorknob wouldn't turn or budge an inch. Most of the girls were already in panic mode, except for Sandy and Kacie, they were sidetracked by something they were staring at in one of the dark rooms across from where we were standing.

Sully kissed Sandy on the neck and told her not to wander because he was just about ready to get some sleep just as soon as someone got a fire started for warmth and possible light. I watched as Criss wrapped his arms around Kacie's waist he used a little bit of magic and made some fire sparks fly from his fingertips so she could see where the best place to make their pallet for the night would be. I mindlessly grabbed some of the old furniture and broke it up into a pile on the floor after making a somewhat safe firepit, and jokingly told Criss to get his fire-starting ass over here and make himself useful by lighting my fire so we could have warmth and light. Criss ran over to me and hopped in my lap as he kissed me on the cheek comically saying he thought I'd never ask him. After I rolled his silly ass off my lap he snapped his fingers quickly and fire sparks went from his fingers and onto the kindling I had ready.

Once everyone started to feel the warmth of the fire, and their clothes dried out we all started to get cozy wanting to sleep for a while so that maybe we could forget about being so hungry until we rested up some anyway. For the most part, most of the group fell asleep rather quickly, but for some reason, Criss and I both stayed awake, for me it was something on the inside telling me something was coming, but by the way, Criss was looking around the room and checking everything, I think he was sensing something a little more. Soon he walked back over to Kacie and plopped down beside her and kept staring at the flickering flames from the fire. The look of worry in his eyes was more than I could handle, so I silently hopped off the pallet Abby made for us, stoked the fire up, and asked him quietly what was bothering him.

Criss used his arm as a headrest and told me he'd been hearing whispers from this place warning him that something bad was coming and that we should've never entered this house. Then he gave an empty stare into the fire and told me that now it was too late, and we couldn't leave now if we wanted to, that the house was already aware of us all being there and it wanted our blood. I tried not to laugh at his words because the way he told me, I knew it was all too true. Criss looked down at Kacie and said without hesitating that I was going to try to get Kacie back and that he was going to have to end up fighting me for her. That he saw it in a premonition, but it wasn't just him going to do it willingly, he was going to be forced to act by some ancient entity. That it was going to be infesting several of the members of this group before it was all over with, and many of us were going to die. I looked at Criss and asked him if he was going to kill me in this vision he saw. Criss stayed silent but he slowly shook his head no, as if he wasn't sure how the battle between us would end.
