It was 08:20 PM, in the Canterlot radio communications room, there was a purple Alicorn who had been spending the past 9 hours trying to translate a the foreign native language.
There were piles of books standing on the table, scrolls lying on the floor, she was really exausting herself today.
Twilight finally realized that apparently trying to translate a language was not an easy thing to do, because when she activates the communication transmitter that is usually used by the Equestrian government to keep communicating with other countries/kingdoms in Equus, she was bombarded with all kinds of gibberish-like words, it had so many dialects and tongues, after spending several hours listening to it she realized that this was not single language, but a collection of different languages.

She had spent hours listening to this transmission, trying to take notes and make sense of it.
Some the language sound fancy and beautiful (French and Japanese), others sound strange (Chinese and Filipino), others sound scary and intimidating (Russian and German), but most of it sounds wierd and sometimes makes no sense (English and Spanish).
She tried to use the language spell she found in the book, but it didn't work well.
to translate this collection of languages she needed something better, she needed a combination of multiple spells to translate this language.
After several failures she managed to create a new spell, a combination of language spells and sound waves spells.
but unfortunately this new spell is not perfect, and this spell is really not very magic energy efficient.
She might need another 9 hours to perfecting and refine this spell, she planned to stay up all night and keep working until morning, until suddenly somepony came to her from behind, it turns out to be her friend Starlight, a former enemy who is now her best friend, she grabbed her nape and started massaging it, Twilight face is blushed over her friend actions, the two of them had been living together for a more than a year now, initially this was because Trixie didn't seem like a very good friend, and also her wagons apparently wasn't a very comfortable place to sleep in.
So Twilight offered her to stay in her castle, she spent the first week exploring and memorizing all the rooms in the castle, Twilight told her that she could stay here as long as she wanted, and after several months living there, she said that it was likely she would settle there permanently, i mean who the hell would refuse to live in a castle that's Beautiful/comfortable and made of crystal.
The sequence from Starlight really relaxes her body, and after several minutes of being massaged by Starlight, Twilight snaps back to reality.
