“Willow? Is that really you?” She flashed him a bright smile, and crossed her arms over her chest.

“Sure is.” His friends were speechless, and still gawking, as if seeing her for the first time.

“Why did you-? What brought all of this on?” He asked, not looking the least bit happy. And that’s when her smile began to fade.

“Why, do you not like it?” A look of confusion crossed his face, and she was beginning to worry that maybe this wasn’t the best idea.

“Sure I like it. I mean… you look great, but why would you change yourself to become this?” He asked, making his hands gesture to her.

You don’t sound like you like it…

“I don’t know, I just kind of felt like it was time to change who I was and to stop being a nerd…” She suddenly felt very exposed, and looking down at the ground, she refused to meet his gaze.

“To stop being ugly.” She whispered.

“Willow, you were not ugly. You were beautiful the way you were, and if anyone told you otherwise then you should have come to me. I would have dealt with them. But this…” He said, waving his arms again.

“This just makes you like every other girl here. And that disappoints me. Because honestly… I liked you just the way you were.” And then without saying anything more, he pushed past her, and walked away without a glance back. And his still gawking friends followed, not taking their eyes off of her.

He’s disappointed at me? After everything I went through to change myself for him… and he’s disappointed at me?

And then suddenly, she felt like crying.

----------------------------

“Your kidding me!?” Willow shook her head while sitting next to Sarah in third period, and scribbling useless words on a essay paper that was suppose to be finished by the end of the week.

“He didn’t like it? At all?” Sighing, Willow dropped her pencil on her desk and looked Sarah straight in the eye.

No, he didn’t like it. He told me that I looked great and everything, but then he told me that he liked me the way I was and that I disappointed him.”

I knew that I should have never done anything about how I looked…

“But that’s impossible! Your hot now! Every guy in school is talking about it, and every single one of them keep coming up to me asking me if I could help them get a date with you!” Willow already knew this. A lot of guys kept coming up to her too, and every single one of them kept asking if she was single.

“He doesn’t care. Every time I try to talk to him, he just turns around and walks away, not even giving me a chance to say anything. He hates me now…” A look of sorrow made its way on Sarah’s face, as she realized that her best friend was regretting everything that they had done to change her.

“Hey, don’t worry about it. I’ll get him to talk to you, I promise. After all, this is all my fault.” Confusion was written all over Willow’s face.

And just how in the world are you going to be able to do that?

But she didn’t say anything. Instead, she just picked her pencil back up, and began working on her essay.

Finn slammed the door to his locker shut, as he finished getting ready for gym. The whole locker room was filled with guys, but no matter how many of them tried to talk to him, he just ignored them, and continued doing whatever he was busy working on. Its not that he wanted to ignore them, it was just that he wanted to ignore all the things they were saying about Willow. He knew that every guy was trying to get a date with her, but for some reason every time he thought about it, a clenching pain entered his stomach.
