Chapter 10 –
After Finn had taken Willow home, he walked back slowly, pondering what had happened throughout the week. He’d lied to Willow and he knew that he should’ve just told her the truth, but how could he? That would mean admitting that he was actually starting to care about her more than he would have liked. And then he’d have to start something that he didn’t want to finish. He actually did want to be with her, but if they got together then that meant telling everyone. And once Finn did that his reputation would be trashed.
I’m such an ass. She deserves way better than some douche that is too afraid of what other people think.
He shook his head and ran his fingers back over his face. After he had beaten the crap out of that guy in the lockers he’d began realizing that maybe he did have feelings for Willow, the geek. He’d noticed her before the encounter in the music room, and he knew that she liked him way more than a friend. How could he not? She practically gawked at him whenever she saw him, so he would defiantly have to disagree that she was subtle about her feelings. And then her friend, Sarah, when she’d completely told him off after kissing that tramp, he’d seen the look on her face and knew, just like that, that he was a goner. But she didn’t have to know that, not yet anyways.
All of a sudden, there was a buzz in his back pocket of his jeans. Finn quickly pulled his phone out and answered it.
“Hello?”
“Is this Finn?” a female’s voice said.
“Yeah, who is this?” he asked.
“I’m surprised you don’t recognize my voice. This is Kelly, you remember me right?” Finn could hear the smile in her voice because both of them knew that he could never forget her, even though he wished he could.
“What do you want, I’m busy right now.”
“You’re lying. You just don’t want to talk to me, right?” in fact, she was right. He didn’t want to even think about her, yet alone have a conversation with the same girl that cheated on him with his best friend. But that was three years ago and she’d moved away afterwards, leaving both him and his friend hung.
“No, I don’t want to talk to you. So just hurry before I hang up and block your number.”
“I just wanted to let you know that I’m standing right on your porch, waiting for you.” Finn froze in place, because just as she said that, he looked at his house that was a few feet from him and there she was.
“Leave.” He said, hanging up and walking up the driveway.
“Finn, I’m hurt. I thought that you’d be a little more excited to see me after all this time.” Kelly said, standing in front of him while he tried to get past her so that he could enter the safety of his home.
“Well you thought wrong. I don’t know what game you’re playing and I don’t know why you’re back here, but you need to leave now. I don’t need you ruining my life for a second time, so go.”
“Hmm, you’ve gotten more edgy, it’s sexy.” She said, running a finger down his chest. He immediately slapped it away.
“I mean it Kelly. I don’t have the time of day for you anymore. I’ve got things going on that are way more important to me than you ever were. So stop making yourself look like a complete idiot and disappear from my life just like you did before.” And with that said, he pushed past her and made his way to the front door, unlocking it and pushing it open, only to be stopped again.
“Where were you just now? I remember that back when we were dating you never liked to go out anywhere after school. So where did you go, hmm?” he turned to face her, making sure that she saw just how serious he was.
“Not that it’s any of your business, but I was walking a girl home. Now, leave.” He said, turning back around to enter his house.
“Who’s this girl? Last time I checked you weren’t interested in anyone else but me.” Finn couldn’t help but laugh.
“Last time I checked, you didn’t care enough to notice who or what I was interested in.” Finn felt a hand on his arm before he was turned back around, Kelly standing three feet away from him.
“That’s not fair, and you know it. I cared about you and I still do. In fact, that’s the real reason I came back. And no matter how many times you tell me to leave, I’m not going anywhere. My father already enrolled me into your school so you better get used to having me around again. And that girl, whoever she is, doesn’t stand a chance against me. I always get what I want Finn, and what I want is you.” Before he could even process what she’d said, Kelly smiled a small flirty smile his way and then turned around and walked down his driveway and off of his street.
You have got to be kidding me. Now of all times?

A/N: So, I know this is kind of short but I just wanted to put this chapter in here to get ready to prepare for what’s to come.
So, what did you all think of Kelly, hmm? She’s a total biatch, I know, but that was kind of the point. Sorry that there’s no Willow in this one, but at least now you know what Finn was thinking about, and a lot of you asked me to do a chapter from his prospective and this kind of was so I hope that you liked it.
Well, thanks for reading, I’m going to go and take care of my puppy because he has a liver infection. L I’m sleeping with him on my wooden floor now so that I can help him get better. They said that he needs lots of love along with everything else so that’s what I’m doing. Even if my butt hurts, I’m willing to do anything for him.
Okay, enough of my sob story…
Anyways, thanks again for sticking with this story, and it will soon be finished in maybe five more chapters. Give or take a few.
Bye! - Leigh
