A/N: And so, I introduce you, the second instalment of "Branches of Cerulean", the story about new beginnings and old pasts, Ashes on the Fire!

But in all seriousness, this story shall contain graphic descriptions and gore, proceed at your own risks, you have been warned

Extra - Day of Doom

"The difference between reality and fiction? It's that fiction has to make sense."

The skies are just not blue like it once been, instead it's now dark grey now full of ashes from constant fighting

"Constant fighting with who? The Lefkians were what the people from Cerulean called them, and both of them don't really have the best of relationships obviously."

The ocean, already being polluted by the Earth's inhabitants was destroyed even further with so many destroyed ships and dead bodies in and on it now

And then, a large green laser then passed by the 'screen' and landed on the water, causing huge splashes as an explosion occurs

And then a figure dashed from the smoke and into the open water before red lasers from the direction of the figure was shot to the direction of where the first laser came from

Upon further inspection, the figure appears to be a small blond girl, but the scars on her face and body, the black military-like dress, her serious face and the futuristic navy blue spear she's tightly holding doesn't imply one

"Lefkians are... Let's just say people with highly advanced technology, more advanced than the Ceruleans, but despite that, the Ceruleans still fought for their world."

The small blond girl seemed to dash forward to the same direction she shot her lasers at with breakneck speed before she dodged a volley of green lasers

And then, a black... "Contraption" appeared behind the small blond girl before she abruptly stops, causing a large mountain of water erupting due to the force of the girl's breaks

On the receiving end of the large splash, a white haired woman with glowing yellow eyes immediately went backwards and up her alert to a 100, she's seen this tactic done before, the small blond girl will cause a large splash at her enemy before shooting her main laser cannons at them in their moment of shock

But seconds passes by and the splash that was created soon returned to the ocean, revealing no one in her opposing side

Though she didn't managed to react any further as a spear pierces her "heart" and cracking noises were heard

"A-Ah..." The white haired woman let out a noise as yellow liquid drops from her mouth and the stap area 'When... When d-did she... A-Arrived behind... me...'

The small blond girl removes her spear from the white woman's chest revealing her spear to be coated of yellow liquid from the woman who then fell into the ocean before sinking down into it

"And despite being outgunned, outsmarted, and outnumbered, Humans with their impressive adaptability and ingenuity manage to keep this losing war to continue on for years on end, and even won on some fronts."

The small blond girl then looked around the area around her to see black ships with red linings of various designs and sizes slowly sinking, some of them exuding smokes and some of them are still on fire

Eventually, after a while of looking, she raised her hand to her right ear right before she started speaking "This is LOS-1 HLB-1. Sector e4 temporarily cleared."
