Chapter 1~ wings

KD's POV

I had settled down by a tree while Riley went to get wood to make a fire, you see Riley and I are sisters, she's older though and I'm younger and also I'm taller but she's stronger and I'm smarter. I guess it works out that way, we survive off of hunting in the woods. and living in the woods.

I had just closed my eyes when I heard footsteps, and of course my wings wear hidden behind a coat, Riley and I share some ability's but have some unique ones of our own.

"That was fast the fire pits over there by the way" I told her pointing towards west.

"I see so you're camping" said a male voice, I immediately opened my eyes and shot up.

"Who are you?" I demanded looking at a elvish looking guy.

"Why, you don't me?" He said

Then I heard a scream, I knew that was Riley's scream.

"I don't have time for this!" I yelled and ran in the direction Riley ran into.

"RILEY" I called out but I couldn't find here anywhere! I knew that guy was following me to.

Riley's POV

I was almost finished with collecting wood for the fire pit when some guy with a hood on his face , I screamed and dropped my wood.

"Who are you?" I demanding as he put a hand on his heart pretending to be hurt.

"That hurts ya know?" He said

"Well who are you?" I asked

"I'm Hoody," he said "what's your name?"

"Riley" I told him "what are you doing here?" I asked

"Trying to kill you of course" he said

My eyes widened in horror of course I had on a hoody to protect my wings from frostbite, then I ran, but my wings were getting heavy, maybe I could use one of my powers but I decided against it because If I live no one can know about this.

I ran for my life when I bumped into someone,he was handsome, he had brown hair and beautiful eyes, I think I liked this guy, no! I can't let him in.

"Damn it you made me drop my mask!" He said and put it back on, I liked him better without it on.

"Sorry about Hoody he usually just gets right to it and kills the person rather than chatting with them" The guys said "My names Masky now that you know Hoody's name now where was he?" Masky asked

"I was right at this point"I said and punched him in the stomach then ran back to the camp sight to see KD fighting an elvish looking guy

"Let's run!" I said grabbing the bags then KD used her powers to make everything lighter than usual.

We kept running until we thought we lost them all, then we took of our. Coats and packed them in the bag and took off flying.

KD's POV

As we flew I could see Ben and two other people running in the woods, I sighed in relief as we got away from them.

"Who is that?" She asked

"That was Ben he tried to kill me" I told her

"Yeah I'm gonna kill him" she said

"So who were those people?" I asked her

"They were Masky and Hoody they tried to kill me to" she said.

I looked back again to see who I assume is Masky was looking at Riley in awe, I think he likes her, he quickly looked away blushing, I could tell because of our advanced vision.

"I think Masky likes you" I told her

"W-why would you say that?!" She asked panicked

"Because I know" I told her

She sighed as we continued to fly off.

We reached a safe camp when two guys came out we quickly his our wings.

"Leave us alone!" We yelled

"Just let us kill you!" A guy with no eyes said

"NO!" We screamed and ran.

A few hours later we were finally settled in and went to sleep.
