"False memory syndrome, also called memory distortion, the experience of seeming to remember events that never actually occurred. It can happen due to several reasons and in your case, this happened because of your severe head injury."
The psychiatrist explained as he mentally prepared himself to witness his violent outcome but instead met with only silence.
That was very unlike Jungkook.
He had been acting this way for over two months now, making everyone believe that he has recovered and finally let go of his psychotic self.
It did take a lot of patience and tolerance to act like he's normal but he has to do this in order to get back to his love.
"So Mr Jeon, as you've fully recovered now, the upcoming week is your court hearing, are you ready for it?"
They asked him, hoping for a positive response this time but there was no reply.
He has been in this hell hole for almost a year; a year away from his love. and he seriously doubt anyone has told her that he's here because, if they did, she would have visited him already.
The day he was shot and fell off the bridge, he was rushed to a hospital and he nearly died. He was in coma for almost four months after that and in these months, the injury in his head led him to go through a series of events that never actually occurred in real life.
That means he never went back to heaven, or killed jimin. It all never happened, it was just all in his head.
When he woke up from his long sleep, he was already in a psychiatric facility due to his severe mental disorder. They kept him isolated since he used to threaten everyone around and no treatment could make him sane until few months ago he started to act well.
At first he was confused since he believed that everything he dreamed of actually happened in real life.
But today he got to know that it was all just an illusion, he finally got his answers. Now his only goal was to escape before the court hearing and before he gets penalized for his criminal activities.
He missed heaven and he was positive that heaven's mind was plagued by that leach jimin at the time. Besides, he believed that a good lesson would teach her what's right.
He couldn't stay away from her any longer now, knowing that she must be living with another man.
He waited till midnight to execute his plan. today, there was only one guard to look over him so this makes his job much more easier.
When the clock hit three he called the guard asking for water. In few moments the guard opened his cell, his eyes were sleepy and tired, unaware of what was coming for him.
Now this is the chance jungkook waited for. Suddenly, he jabbed the knife into the guard's neck that he had earlier stolen for this purpose.
His arms and chest were covered in blood as the heavy guard flopped to the floor, red fluid still gushing. He ripped the keys off the guards belt and took his gun before making his way down the block.
As he continued walking, a couple of guards had strolled past him and were immediately shot by him.
A sinister smile spread on his lips as he stepped outside and spotted his psychiatrist who treated and tortured him for over an year .
The doctor's eyes grew wide as he looked at jungkook, panic coursing through his body.
"So, Doctor, how you prefer to die?"
"J-jungkook!?"
"Wow, so you remember my name?" Jungkook chuckled as he began walking closer to the doctor.
"Lis-listen jungkook, we- we can help you!"
"Seriously? This is how you helped me for the past one year?"
"Jung-"
"You shouldn't have kept me from her, She's the only thing I've ever wanted; so why is it sooo bad that I have her, that I keep this one special thing for myself?"
Jungkook said, pacing back in forth. When the doctor tried to run, he was shot on his leg instantly causing him to let out a deep scream.
But then again, he began crawling to get away only making jungkook more eager, well it's been a while since he killed anyone.
"You brought this on yourself." Jungkook murmured as he stepped towards him, then pulled his hair back, forcing him to look.
"Goodbye, doctor" jungkook smiled and shot him straight on his head.
He took the doctor's car keys and went towards the parking lot. When he stepped outside, the cold air filled his lungs; he hadn't been outside for a year, it felt amazing.
He held the doctor's car fob in the air and clicked the button; a pair of lights flickered in the foggy parking lot and he headed towards it.
