Starscream was lonely, there was no doubt about it.

His frame and surroundings felt the need to remind him constantly. From how his heels echoed down the hall as he walked in solitude, to the way his wings ached for the proper attention they hadn't found in a millenia.

He was roaming the nemesis. His work for the day had been completed and he was rather bored, taking a walk just so he could drown in his own thoughts.

He pouted softly, making a hum in his throat. Had seekers of his species still be part of the Decepticon ranks, he knew a few would have rushed to him. But he was now a seeker without a flock, without a trine, etcetera. While seekers were still in the world, seekers like Starscream, were long extinct to every galaxy.

He passed medbay and caught the sound of Breakdown and Knockout laughing.

Oh what an arid and horrid sound to his audios. They did truly sound like they were enjoying the company of one another, and Starscream regretted every small complaint he had to his trinemates long ago.

He felt a bit selfish, though he'd never dare admit it. Breakdown and Knockout were conjux. He couldn't get jealous of that and compare it to his own misfortune. He had gotten bonded to a mech before, long before the war, when Starscream was an early adult.

How foolish.

Because that mech was long dead, and whoever Starscream was before died with him. His spark refused to accept it, telling him he was still bonded and giving him false hope.

The seeker turned a corner and hit something harshly, looking up to see Megatron. He whined, and the bigger mech took the opportunity to yell.

"Watch where you are going!" he yelled, earning a scowl from the seeker.

Starscream figured he may as well piss the other off more. "My apologies, my liege. I usually pretend you're invisible because it makes the ship more bearable.

Starscream successfully earned an optic roll and Megatron moved along.

The seeker continued his quiet walk, figuring he should have flown instead.

He thought back to the conjux thing again. If he were ever to take a new mate, he promised himself he'd go for something just like the last. Tall, strong, work his while, fretting over Starscream constantly.

Gentle hands, words, spark.

He barked a laugh at himself as he walked past his room door, opening it. He sounded so foolish. No one left in the world was like that, and if they were, they hated Starscream's gut.

He laid on his berth and stretched, deciding he'd take a nap.

Crimson optics opened softly and the seeker stretched his wings as he got up. His comm had been spammed with messages and calls. He sighed, figuring he may go see what he was wanted for.

He opened the messages as he walked towards his door.

: Starscream, your presence is requested at the brig, now.

: I'm not waiting for you, seeker.

: STARSCREAM.

: Don't make me come drag you from whatever hole you are in at the moment.

Starscream blinked, pausing where he reached for the door handle, hearing a loud series of clanking footsteps approached.

He sighed, reading the last message.

: Fine. We'll play your game.

Good primus.

The door swung open in front of him, and he was grabbed by the shoulder and held up, a second of shock graciously given to him before he was tossed harshly the opposite of his door, in the hallway.

"You–..got a great throwing arm...ever play baseball...with your fellow miners– Whoa whoa–!"

Megatron didn't appreciate the joke and held him up again, this time, thankfully, by his waist, watching as the seeker nervously clawed and scratched his hands and arm.

"I have a mere child as my second, it seems."

"Wow, that should have been obvious centuries ago."

"You aren't funny, Starscream, you're a rat."

Megatron had started doing this a few months earlier. He'd harm the seeker, then allow casual banter to yawn between them, making Starscream wonder if usuing him as a punching bag calmed Mgeatron down. Though Megatron still seemed enraged by the seeker's existence.

"What do you wish for that requires my presence, my lord?"

"Airachnid visited today." The seeker gagged. "She told me things."

"He does that a lot, she seems to like you."

"She informed me of one of your plans to erase me. Have any words?"

"How hard will I be thrown in a moment?"

Megatron scoffed and sat Starscream on his own two pedes. He twitched his wings before shaking his whole body in disgust and moved his wings akin to how a bird looked ruffling its feathers, Megatron hummed at the display.

"You won't be. She informed me of something you had already done."

Starscream could detect a lie from Megatron from miles away. He narrowed his optics, and Megatron huffed slowly.

"Besides, you're the last seeker of your specific race, we must cherish that, mustn't we?" He said, nudging Starscream in the other direction towards his room..

"No, I actually think that I was so indeed funny, that you are sparing me the harm."

"Calm down Starscream, the truth isn't supposed to spill." Megatron groaned tiredly and sarcastically. "Now, back to whatever you were doing."

"Sleeping."

"Then sleep."
