Uhhh... I really shouldn't be doing ONC this year. I can't come up with a decent revision for my publisher for my sequel to Queen of Water (which most of you remember from 2019 🎉), and I'm working on other projects for Wattpad. I have a million reasons not to do this but I get FOMO really bad, and I really do love the community around this contest.
That said, we'll see how this goes, and if my motivation can keep me going this year. If not, I'll rotate it into my regular updates, but here goes.
I'm using prompts 12 and 43.
12: An evil sorcerer offers you an immense amount of power — but it comes with a price.
43: You have waited a thousand years to find your one true love, what's one more day?
Everyone knows my first love in life is romance, and it's what I started in for traditional publishing. I claim I'm unromantic, yet I'm celebrating nineteen years of marriage in May with MasterAdam and for the record, I asked him out. 😂
The idea came to me when the story was still just a cover, but had no plot. I loved writing Nick's Valentine, and I do want to finish Jack of Hearts when the time is right and the story flows better, but magical realism takes another special place in my heart where magic exists in our everyday lives.
This is where I need everyone's encouragement for taking on that extra project. If you're participating, I wish you all the best! ❤️
