"It's very frustrating trying to cheer you up you when you insist on continuing to be in a such a shitty mood"I responded .
I was sitting on the bed in my room talking to Dylan on the phone.It was raining outside and I had just come in from the airport and was trying to unpack some clothes.
He was my boyfriend of 5 years and I was calling to let him know that I had arrived safely.It was 8pm in Toronto and 10pm in Jamaica because of the different time zones.
Dylan was having issues at work with his supervisor and I was trying to tell him to let it go but he was being adamant that he wanted things to escalate."I am just tired of dealing with with these fuck-faces just feel like punching him in the face",Dylan retorted.
I have had enough of this conversation because I was already mentally exhausted from my flight and he was just dragging me into the same shitty mood that he was in."I will call you back tomorrow after I leave work babe"I said calmly."okay hun!Have a goodnight .I love you babe!I love you too Dylan".
Just as I was about to put the phone down I heard my housemate Denzil calling to me to ask if I was settling okay.
Denzil was a family friend who had a machine shop and had offered me a one year contract to work as his office manager.
He was a 50 year old short stocky guy who wore glasses.He stayed at this apartment most times because it was close to his business.
"Yes I'm okay,I was just talking to my boyfriend "I told him.He said"well if there is anything you need at all don't hesitate to let me know"He gave my body the once over with and appreciative look and I wondered to myself what the hell was that about.
I smiled and told him that I most certainly will.He must get lonely staying at this apartment by himself without his wife I thought,but then again that's not my business.
We said our goodnights and he went to his bedroom on the other side of the apartment .
Tomorrow I would start my new job and meet the guys .Hopefully my time here will be uneventful and I will try to keep myself out of trouble.
I do have a tendency of making bad decisions.
